I have a sleeve of steel too! Makes sense as I had a whole stomach of steel too before VSG.

Me three for Sleeve of Steel! I can eat anything and not feel poorly in the moment.

My workouts always suffer later, or the next day.

I dunno if I agree with the normal weighted eating pattern.....none of my fit, thin friends would eat what looks like three sweet treats in a day. Maybe because they are small women and simply don't eat as many calories as larger men?

At the gym, we can see heart rates and estimated calorie burns for everyone there. (I didn't think I would like that. But it turns out that I just don't care.) It is AMAZING how many more estimated calories men burn relative to women. (I realize that those calories are no doubt overestimated just like all fitness equipment)

Your point is well taken.

I don't know too many guys who would think twice about grabbing a thumb length piece of pastry in the morning, having a coffee drink in the afternoon and a small dish of ice cream after dinner. What they have that I don't have is that innate ability modify intake for the rest of my day to accommodate for those calories.

My dad, who is a complete "Normie" when it comes to food, does things like have a small salad for dinner because his lunch was bigger than normal or included an extra something. He always has chocolate in the cupboard, ice cream in the freezer, wine or beer in the house. It is normal for him to have a muffin with butter and honey or marmalade for breakfast, chocolate in the afternoon and some ice cream after dinner. So, maybe that's what I am going by. My grandfather, who was also never overweight, kept multiple flavors of ice cream in the house and my grandmother always kept homemade cake, pie, or cookies in the house. And NEVER was her house free of prune cake. It was a daily staple for my grandparents. Again, they both had that nice moderation gene that seems to have skipped over my brother and me!

MAYBE there is something to Friday the 13th after all (I've never been superstitious). DH didn't get up until 12:30, then got mad at me for putting to much bbq sauce on his sandwich, doing it in a nasty way. A lot of that lately. So I got mad back and he refused to go to the beach with me (2nd day in a row he has refused to go with me). He will end up sleeping most of the day on the couch except when Justice wants a walk. I'm not inclined to take him to the show and dinner we were going to do tonight, as it will be another late night and may spawn more nastiness. I'm having a hard time liking him lately. He doesn't think he needs help and I'm certainly not enjoying having to provide it to someone who doesn't want it.

His behavior today sounds like that of a sullen teenager. Must be maddening!

I remember when I was being a jerk as a teen my mom telling me, "I love you, but I don't like you very much right now."

Hi all!

David, that mesh bag sounds like a great idea to prevent choking. And little teeth! Congrats to Adalyn!

I'm heading to dinner at my friend's house tonight. Should be fun. I slept pretty well last night. I'm finally sleeping on my sides! It does give a bit of an electrical charge burning feeling when I roll onto or off of my side, but I understand that's the scar tissue and it's good to break it up. It feels like what we un-pc kids called an Indian burn (putting both hands on someone's forearm and twisting in opposite directions). Where did that name originate from anyway?

Today I'll just be doing some laundry and walking Ferg.

Hope you all have some fun today!
