May you all have only good luck today.

I was on the hunt to graze yesterday. Not much in the house but it did t stop me from looking in the fridge a dozen times. Seems like my energy for the day is highest in the mornings. By 1 in the afternoon I am zapped and even got a nap yesterday.

Baby Adalyn and DD#1 have been house sitting for my BIL all week. My niece is there too but she is 15 so she doesn t require much except transportation and fast food. So many baby milestones this week. 2 bottom teeth are peaking through. Maybe a 3rd one on top. She also went from milk and rice cereal to adding finger food. She eats Cantaloupe and watermelon with pacifier looking thing with a mesh bag on it. Eats it through the mesh. She has mastered the sippy cup and can get wherever she wants in her walker. She does not tolerate the textures of baby food. It was hard to let her stay away for the week. They come back tomorrow.

DW found another bargain. A 175 dollar jogging stroller for 25. It is rough terrain around here. I need the larger wheels. Shel has inspired us to hike.

More later, David

Happy Friday the 13th all ! The only time I felt superstitious was when it occurred on a full moon...schools are full of competing energies then ! It has been fabulous to be home ! I picked up my sixth batch of five bags of lawn soil. The more I repair and reseed, the more I find to do ! I should have just had it delivered by the yard ! Temperatures and humidity on the rise again. The lure of ice cream is strengthening but I can still activate my recollection of the icky effect it has on my sleeve. A fleeting moment of pleasure is just not worth it for me. Thank goodness !

Find good fortune today !

Amazing what new things one can get for babies - a mesh bag to make sure the pieces aren't too large! DS wasn't a fan of baby food much either (but should anyone be?). Love that bargain stroller!

Weight 117, calories 907. One extra snack, but not bad overall. I slept well after a disrupted sleep night prior so am feeling better this morning. Yoga is on deck in a couple of hours.

Last night we went to the town band concert (picture below). It was a bit breezy so next time I'm wearing long pants (I did remember a sweatshirt thank goodness). Tonight we are going to a show at a nearby venue, then dinner afterwards and tomorrow I think we will go to a Cape Cod league baseball game (our local team is hosting).

Have a fun Friday!

Good morning

Congratulations on the new teeth! And for scooting around.

sounds like everyone is very busy.

the families leave next week and the discussion is that this weekend will be low key. Whew!

There is a huge community event planned starting today but no one wants to go. Like Diane said, the vendors are all the same and in terms of food there is nothing really healthy. So a miss it will be.

Enjoy Friday!

Traditional fair food just doesn't taste like it used to. Is that the VSG or just older palate?

With the advent of food trucks, our local fair food venders have upped their game. Usually there are VSG friendly foods available. Recently, I was able to get poke from a Japanese food truck. (My BIL says "you eat raw fish from a food truck?" Good point, but I ate it anyway. Delish)

Hey there Lucky Friday Peeps, Peps and Pups,

David, Your DW has the Midas touch. I love the idea of you all hiking it with that Ozarks buggy. Someday, I must get to the Ozarks as well as Smoky Mtn NP.

Power of intention: yesterday I typed that I wanted a car breakdown and I got a car breakdown! (The coincidence is almost worth the breakdown.) The car was my DD's 2004 VW convertible. Tow took 2 hours to arrive. We got home about midnight. I need to do the car repair dance today so no epic hike like I originally planned.

The mtn will be there tomorrow. And, we can shop Nordstrom's pre-sale today. Members only. So excluuuuusive! This is as close as I get to saving money while shopping.

My original reason for wishing for car breakdown was that I didn't want to work out. Yet, I had the best run I have ever had, and it was on incline. (I run in my imagination. When I see myself in mirror, it is barely a jog.) That's quite a disconnect between mind and body. I think the mind is a liar. A con artist. But why the self sabotage?

Paula, I'm glad you have something festive to give you a break from paperwork. DianeO, I hope you mom had a healing night. You too, Cecily.

Speaking of parents, mine finally switched to an iPhone. They are tech savvy but a bit anti-Apple. And cheap. (Nothing wrong with either but can't expect that combination to get you a great phone.) Now my dad sometimes texts me early in morning. Such a pleasure to have them (and you folks) here for coffee.

Find some recess. Maybe in an Ozark-buggy.

Shel

Greetings Friday 13th Funsters

148.5 still. I will accept that (like I have an immediate choice). Oh wait, I do have a choice - its called healthy eating and exercise.

Dave we love the Adalyn stories. Little teeth and real food! And a jogging stroller. Great fun.

Shel very woo woo that your car broke down. Be careful what you wish for. I am wishing for calorie free chocolate. And hoping you find a good hike.

Miss 150 funny about being "winkie" after sedation. Shopping for auto parts. It would take major drugs to get me to do that.

Speaking of cars, I gave away my Prius yesterday to a worthy needy friend. She was thrilled to get it, having not had a car with air conditioning or a working odometer. It feels good to share. Plus now there is space in the garage for DH to put junk.

Hey big news on the dog show front! Little Tesla won a 3 point major at shows in Oregon yesterday. She is up there with her breeder co-owner. Her first points. A major is a big deal since you have to get at least two for a championship and they are hard to come by. Breeder had a big win with her own dog - Group 2. Three more shows.

Gallery duty this morning and I suspect slowness. More messing with the computer and walking in circles.

Maybe more later. Have to get to the gallery. Don't want to get fired! Diane S

David-I just bought a jogging stroller. We took it to the beach and heck maybe I'll actually exercise with it. Even on our flat neighborhood sidewalks I could tell our everyday stroller was getting rickety. I got the much recommended Bob stroller for $125 originally $450 I think. But cannot tell if I like it :( When we got to the beach the front tire was out of air. Unsure if baggage people did something to it or if we bought it that way. Between that and it having a locking front wheel/not being able to maneuver well, it was very heavy. Luckily we aired it up and it's MUCH easier, but still wish I had some swivel. Guess I'm not as big a jogger for that. I'm also finding the folding up of it to be cumbersome. Hoping to work out this quirks.

Diane O.-Ice cream sounds so good to me too. For some reason I can eat the mini drumsticks, but pretty much anything else gives me the terrible lactose effect. Or maybe dumping syndrome. Either way, not pretty. It's almost cured me of my like for ice cream.

Weight: 166.4

eating started out really good yesterday

B: chorizo breakfast taco, melon, coffee w/ ff half and half

L: 1 c. vegetable soup, 1 flour tortilla with black pepper turkey breast

S: cottage double, special K protein bar

D: 2.5 oz. grilled salmon, 1/2 package cauliflower Rice

S: 2 glasses of wine, hillshire salame and cheese kit...this is where things kind went south. Still only 1600 cals ont he day

Happy Friday the 13th! I am not a superstitious one, so I am unfazed by the date and day.

Congratulations to Tesla and Diane. Majors are significant wins and much needed for the coveted AKC Championship.

New Flash from the Man with the Sleeve of Steel: I read Diane O's comment about ice cream and I was envious for a fleeting nano second! LOL! Were it that ice cream caused me icky feelings, what a wonderful world it would be! Hehehehehe! Though I'm sure that if it wasn't ice cream, it would certainly be something equally as wicked to weight maintenance!

Weight is down a pound from the up two on Wednesday. Eating is. If I were a normal person of normal weight I don't think anyone would think twice about my eating. However, not being a normal weighted person with normal eating habits, yesterday could have NOT INCLUDED the mocha Javiva from Peet's or the cinnamon stick croissant thing Ron put in front of me with my morning coffee yesterday, and of course, that dish of vanilla ice cream.

I have a training session today and I already don't want to go. Uh oh! Dog Club party here tomorrow so a little cleaning and shopping and prep has to happen for that today. Area rugs were cleaned yesterday (sorry, not carpets as in wall to wall) and the inside humidity was quite icky! Blech! I'm also not loving the deodorizing compound they used, but hey it's better than the smell of dog urine. (We are guessing that Ella in her last weeks of pregnancy peed on the rug. Ron said he would take care of it, but didn't and once it dries, it's virtually impossible to get the smell out!)

Need to start making lists of little things to do before summer is over and I'm back at school. Lists help.

Sleep is good with this litter of pups. Ella is a fantastic mama dog and the pups are well fed and therefore quiet 99% of the time. A quiet litter is a happy and healthy litter.

I want to post about clothes (sizes and fits), but I guess that can wait for another time. Looks like I've written enough for today!
