Busy can be good, though tiring. I hope you are getting some sleep?

Weight 118.2, calories 1069. The Memory Cafe yesterday was good - we talked about trips and then made a decoupage picture. Next month we may be doing a painting together.

DS has a new car - a 2018 Subaru Impreza. He is happy and I'm glad I don't have to drive him to work anymore. I went with him to help choose. He was thinking of getting the next model up which had more luxury features and cost more money, but I suggested that he didn't need those and the hatchback and roof racks on the Impreza would be more useful and he agreed.

A friend of mine from our prior hometown is coming for the day to have lunch and go to the beach with me and another friend. BIL is taking DH to the beach, so everyone is accounted for. I need to make sure the guest bathroom is presentable.

Have a transformative Tuesday!

Greetings Tuesday Travelers

Where is everybody? Surely you don't have something better to do?

Thanks for starting Carbon. A gallon of ice cream per day! Well that means everyone is having a good time. Enjoy your company. What berries do you pick? We have loads of free range blackberries here - so many you get sick of them. And huckleberries but they are so small they go directly into mouth.

Liz glad your son has a car. And hopefully insurance. Safe driving. Have some fun beach days and relaxation.

Gallery duty today. Should be slow. Then I have to prepare Tesla for her trip to Oregon for shows. Mainly I am getting a package of treats together for my friend who is taking her. At least Tesla will be quiet in the car.

Peps love the FB post of Chuckie Pink. Still loving the puppy ears and noses.

Lots of stuff out of the kiln yesterday. All pretty good. No failures. Started a new sculpture of an octopus with a bird sitting on each of its legs. It will be a technical challenge to not break.

Not much else of interest to report except a great dinner of super crisp bacon and a half avocado last night. Smoked brisket tonight (not home made like BB). Cheers. Diane S

Yes, DS had to purchase insurance to register the new car. We talked about NEVER letting it lapse again.

Octopus with birds? That sounds very intriguing. Picture when done?

Puppies are all doing well. I'm expecting that boys Blue and Green will be over a pound today! That's impressive for really being under 4 days old. Counting age on this litter is hard since they were born both on Friday and Saturday. In just a few minutes Chuck (the last pup out) will be a full 72 hours old. Red will technically be 4 days old shortly after 8pm tonight! See what I mean?

I was psyched to see my weight moving downward this morning. I can't decide whether my allergies are bothering me or I have a mild summer cold. It feels more like a cold that just won't start, but it's been that way for two days, so I doubt it's going to get any worse.

Started binge watching a Netflix show about High School emotional life, relationships, and suicide. The show is based upon the suicided of one of the main characters. The story is shown in flashbacks and the show flips back and forth between the past and present with amazing ease and clarity. It is well written and treats the subjects well. The show is called 13 Reasons Why. Shel, if your daughter is not aware of the show, you might want to share it with her. (The show begins with the actors telling the viewers about the seriousness and reality of teen suicide, sexual abuse and cyber bullying. They even have a website and hotline associated for troubled teens supported by the show.)

Finishing coffee and I swore to myself I would be a little more productive than I was yesterday! The inspectors came on three separate occasions yesterday interrupting my day and taking up time. Later several hours were spent docking tails and removing dew claws on the pups. That is a task that always leaves me emotionally drained.

I watched all of the first season of 13 Reasons Why and am watching the second season now. The characters and the story are multi-faceted and really show how perspectives can vary as well as how difficult being a teen can be.

Thx for the recommendation on 13 Reasons....I have been meaning to watch it as parental homework but then lost momentum when my daughter mentioned that she had already seen it! I'm glad it got your vote of approval; there was a fair amount of parental angst when the book and then the show came out.

(Let's all say a little prayer that DD doesn't ever casually mention 50 Shades of Grey before I get to it)

Argh. I was feeling so good yesterday! Then at 7pm I got a fever with aches and chills. No other symptoms, but I still have it. I emailed the surgeon and asked if I should go back on the Cipro, he said to be safe yes.

Then I remembered my endocrinologist said if I ever get a fever or a sore throat to call her. It could be a bad side effect of my anti-thyroid med. A few months ago my numbers were off and she said if they didn't improve that they would radiate my thyroid and give me synthroid. They did improve so I thought it was behind me. Anyway, I called and am waiting for a call back. I imagine this will entail another blood test today. But I'm sure hoping it doesn't mess with me going to MI (which got pushed off until next week because of scheduling conflicts that aren't mine, meaning I'll miss the concert I bought tickets for everyone for!) And I'm supposed to go to the theater tonight, but don't think I will with a fever.

I feel punished for rejoicing that yesterday was a good day...
