Weight 118.6, calories 836. I'm paying for Friday and Saturday overeating I guess..
Yesterday we just went to the pond (no kayaking, no Pow Wow). DH didn't get up until 11 and was pretty foggy all day, so I was not inclined to do something more active, though Justice got some good walks in so he was happy. It gave me time to make my light crab cakes which we love (they actually aren't a lot of work relatively speaking, but I can't make them totally last minute).
It is only in the high 50's this morning but is supposed to heat up again at least for the first part of the week. This morning I may take DS to get a car, though he may need another paycheck first. He didn't realize that he had to pay sales tax up front. This afternoon DH and I have a "Memory Cafe" activity at the local museum. They are doing something with trip pictures so I need to print some out this morning.
Have a masterful Monday!

Liz, DH is lucky to have you, as are Justice and DS for that matter. Our weather here sounds like your predictions... cooler now, but warming up for afternoon and next few days. I'll be playing some catch up today. DH took Friday off unexpectedly due to side effects of medication changes for PTSD and depression. I had a 2.5 hour soak/mani/pedi scheduled, but he had such a melt down when he called to see what was taking so long, I left before the mani (not a good choice on my part). Today, after I mow and do laundry, I need to try to work in a refill. He is either "up" or down... not a lot of in between. I really need to look into some support groups, to expand my repertoire for supporting without enabling bad behavior. Boundaries in my personal life are not always as healthy as they need to be.
My mom has a TAVIR procedure tomorrow, so I'll be traveling two hours away to be there for that. My sister is a nurse, and always makes these things easier, especially in "her hospital".
Have a great day !

Good morning everyone.
guests all over the house, but thankfully they " really enjoy cooking" so the kitchen is theirs. Am very bloated from too many cherries yesterday .. delicious but too many.
A beginning of a brand new day and brand new week. very exciting.
have a great one.
A memory garden cafe- I like that idea! Stories- I love stories.
146.0 - just a short lived fairy story. Yesterday was colonoscopy prep- so the drop this morning--am just off now for my masterful Monday procedure--I see a reward some time later for good behavior. (When I was a kid- the dentist gave out ice cream tickets for good behavior. I'm hoping for one of those "tickets" today)

Greetings Monday Marvels
147.5 today. Yesterday I didn't eat much. Really wasn't hungry. I am still feeling pretty worn out from this yucky cold and probably from the cold pills. After the dog show I just wanted to nap but made myself do a few chores.
Hey Diane O so glad you had a great canoe experience! Like flying! Sorry DH is not feeling well. Good idea to look for more support strategies. Lots of work being done finally in this long unrecognized mental health issue. I think of all the WW2 veterans, including my dad, who probably suffered in silence all their lives. Many thanks to all who served.
Liz, memory cafe sounds good. It amazes me how many fun activities you seem to find. Hope DS finds a suitable car. Sales tax on our new EV was a whopper!
Thanks Peps for posting the Tesla charge picture. Someday I will figure out how to post and then look out.
I keep hearing about new fires daily. Scary. Cecily I hope you are safe. Hard to know exactly where they are. There is a big fire on the cal/oregon border but its inland from us so we are not affected. Cheers for firefighters. When we moved years ago I was selling off excess dog kennels. I firefighter at a nearby station wanted a small one. I took it over for him to see and here was this big burly guy with a teeny little yorkie. I gave him the kennel for free. So cute to see a big guy with a tiny dog.
Usual chores today. Pick up some groceries, do gallery banking, check out the kiln offerings, play with clay, throw out some junk, yada yada yada. Tesla leaves Wednesday with her breeder to go to Oregon shows. So I have to pack a little bag and also a treat pack for breeder for taking her. (Think wine and chocolate).
Safe colonoscopy Miss146. Hoping you too get the 10 year ticket. Then come home and eat something good.
Well thats about it. So grateful those kids in Thailand are getting rescued. Blessings. Diane S

Thankfully no fires near me or my Dad's house. I'm protected by the suburbs, but my Dad's house is at the bottom of a very brushy hill, so that?s always a worry. But with him in MI, it would just be "stuff" should the worst happen. And being at the bottom of a hill is better than being at the top as fire burns faster uphill.
We just had an arsonist arrested in my city last week. I wonder if he was responsible for the outbreak of several fires in the nature reserves a few weeks ago? They got him on different fires more in the city both buildings and empty brushy lots, but I'm not sure firebugs are particular...
Liz, in CA, if the car is leased, Sales Tax is paid for on a monthly basis with the lease. We only pay full sales tax, if the car is purchased. Then, if not paying cash, you get to pay interest on the sales tax. How fun is that?!
Diane O. I'm sorry DH is having trouble adjusting to new meds and the mood swings are still so severe. Can't be easy.
Diane S. glad the show weekend was fun, win or lose. It was interesting to me to see who went north for your shows and who went to So Cal for those shows. My good friends set a record this weekend at the So Cal shows. They took their Frenchie, Princeton, to a new breed record so he is now the winningest French Bulldog in the history of the breed! Pretty cool. The dog is pretty chill, too.
The thought that Ann met an interesting fellow on her Venetian Vacay, floated through my mind this morning. Nothing serious - just someone who made her smile one of those deep smiles. I wonder if I am right.
My weight is neither up nor down. Hip hip hurray! Yesterday's eating was not healthy, but it did include a slaw salad at dinner. As loathe as I am to admit it, I did not eat anything until close to 2pm. There was left over pizza from whelping night, so I nuked a piece of that. Then BFF came by for a hair cut and help me switch out beds in the guest room. I offered him pizza and salad for dinner. So I had another piece of pizza with slaw salad for dinner. The only other food I ate was almonds and Ella's vanilla ice cream (2 servings - ). At least my water/liquid intake was adequate.
Yesterday evening/night was wonderfully relaxing. I puttered and watched Netflix and Amazon Prime into the wee hours (1:30 am). I still was not too tired (not sure why) and found myself at 2:00 am rearranging the guest room. I like it, but I did it without Ron's approval, so there may be consequences for lack of consultation. I am so rarely home alone that I find it absolutely delightful - especially after so much "togetherness" during the summer months. LOL! Retirement will certainly be a ***** to navigate!
Puppies are doing great, as is Mama Ella. She passed a retained placenta last night. I am hoping the other one comes out in a full piece today. If not, it will come out in little pieces over the next few weeks. Boooooo! All I can say is that Cecily's menstrual saga of last week pales in comparison to the viscous, bloody, placental green discharge I am cleaning up. Nothing pretty about birth - except that whole miracle of life thing....
Waiting for the final inspection for the solar installation today. Will work on finishing up some repair chores around the house, pick up poop-which I haven't done since Saturday, and start planning for the club meeting here on Saturday. I also need to purchase the insulation for my grooming "room" so I can get that finished this year. I've been threatening to get that chore done for about 8 years. This is the year I am going to do it! (wink, wink, grin, grin,)
So, to get off my butt, make something to eat, take vitamins, and get on with my day!
I'm waiting for Atlas to pass a latex glove, if that helps !
