Weight 117.6, calories 854. It is super windy and humid here (also cloudy). Rain is due at 11, so with small craft advisories out our sailing charter was canceled for today, but rescheduled for tomorrow when it is supposed to be beautiful out. The humidity and extreme heat will dissipate after today.
So I need to decide if I'm going to do yoga this morning since I can. Also it is "Free Museum Friday" at the Falmouth museums today so that is an option for later. Massachusetts runs this program during the summer and rotates between museums.
I feel a little less in a funk today maybe because I went to bed early?
Have a fruitful Friday!

Good morning all ! Our hot and humid weather is moving out also. It looks like it is moving west !! DH took a mental health day today. Fortunately my pre-scheduled mani/pedi are early, so perhaps we can get out and do something fun this afternoon.
Had a blast with wet dogs yesterday ! I filled up the wading pool for Atlas and Sadie and was about to weedwack before mowing. All of a sudden, I heard a huge splash and Cooper, the year old golden retriever next door, had scaled the chain link fence and was stretched out in the pool. Two puppies are more than enough for Sadie, who went back inside, but Atlas and Cooper shared the pool and pool toys while zooming the yard and running between my legs for a good hour. Cecily, I can't begin to imagine drying a golden on a multiple times a day basis! So much fluff! (See Facebook)
Stay cool and do something nice for your inner child !

I don't know about letting my inner child out- No, wait a minute. She does show herself on healing occassions....I think that's why I've chosen the avatar I use here. Had at one time thought about updating it to a current photo, but never could bring my self to do it. She belongs here.
The one pic of me on display outside of photo albums also celebrates a healing time when I had done some hard work in therapy dealing with ACOA issues many years ago. She can be fearless and brave sometimes.

That's what I was thinking too but her picture is of a child. I'm an ACOA...

That's what I thought, but because it was a child's picture (not an adult), I wasn't sure. LOL (sort of). I am ACOA too. Which is why I am a bit of a control freak and have a hard time when I see family members do things that remind me of my mother. My hackles get raised...

Good morning!
DianeO, I love your description of the impromptu playdate with Cooper -- was what a great guy! What joy! What fluff! His poor parents are already thinking about their inadequate fence. What expense!
Liz, glad your outing is going to work out. And M150, don't you wish that you could give that little girl a hug? I like that you honor her as your avatar.
Paula, what's that new camera going to do for you? I am sure you have plans! I KNOW Ann is having a great time and hoping that BB is enjoying her vacation, too.
DianeS, you have a good memory...yes, there is a nice walk thru the hall of moss at the hoh rain forest. The hike was good tho I had to backtrack to the car to get a charger for my camera because it was dead. First world problem. It added 0.9 mile to the hike. I know this because I had 3 Garmin devices tell me so. (3 Garmin devices plus one camera plus one (really old) iPhone. Bears are going to mug me.
It will take time, but I'm going to make sure I work with the new emergency Garmin so I get used to the menu and sub menus and sub-sub menus and so on. I practiced a bit with the communication piece but DH was in bed when I got home so I haven't heard his feedback yet. I also shared my map with him so he could look me up. He is very linear and since there wasn't a need to look me up on the map, he probably didn't.
The camp muir hike is tomorrow today I rest and ruminate about what clothing to wear and take in pack. Right know I'm thinking "everything!"
On weather: comfortable here for temps with some rain. Humidity 55% which we think is muggy but know better than to complain about to outsiders
Peace and hope. Leave room for recess.
Shel
