Rhino Rockets! Someone out there has a sense of humor to be appreciated! But boy, 3 days?! That's terrible.

I'm sorry, Liz. Having someone right there *****ally isn't there has to be terribly lonely. I know the transition between retirement and working can also create loneliness and some isolation. Have you found anything like your FL walking group in MA? It's definitely not the same as a partner by any stretch, but having fun and interesting people to do things with regularly helps me avoid a lot of loneliness.

Off to the doctor today for me for some genetic blood testing. Fingers crossed this blood thinner thing will be temporary!

Other than that, it's heating up here fast. I know those of you suffering this last week will have little sympathy, but it's going to be 106 degrees AND humid here tomorrow. I think a movie with my friends is the only house leaving I'll do with a very early and very late dog walk in there.

Take care all and stay cool!

So sorry Liz for the lonely heart. Alzheimer?s disease steals from 2 people at a time. Your loss is on a spectrum. I can?t imagine where you are emotionally. Hope sailing happens and sparks DH into the present.

We have been cleaning, mowing dried grass and doing some landscaping. Major pruning some shrubs. Fixed a nice run for the dogs. DW and kids went back today and I should be headed back to the shop in the woods tomorrow.

Eating has been good. Tracking and weighing have not been so good. I should be down some according to my clothes.

I fixed my mom?s serger this morning. She thinks I can fix anything now. She is 87 and has recruited 8-10 other ladies in the assisted living center to sew pillow case dresses for 3rd world countries. They are going to have a demonstration the end of the month to show what each person is doing to make these dresses. They have made about 800 so far and started making shorts for the boys too. She has macular degeneration and I am surprised she can see enough to sew. One of the other ladies that helps is almost blind too. Quite the little sweat shop.

I have been getting in a bunch of rocking time in.

Speedy healing, safe hiking, travels and puppy birthing.

More later, David
