I'm sorry you felt this way Devon. I am generally an optimist (I'm sure you can tell), but when I am feeling depressed that is how I feel. And I self sabotage when in that frame of mind. Very dangerous. I bet that figuring out how to get rid of depressson would be a huge key to reducing obesity.

Okay Peeps, dramatic turn of events. I have a "huge" pulmonary embolism. My D-Dimer test came back as elevated so my doc sent me for a CT Scan this afternoon. I'm sitting in the CT machine feeling silly for all the fuss over a pulled muscle and the radiologist rushes in and says I have a huge pulmonary embolism on my right side and they've called an ambulance. So I'm in the hospital on blood thinners. I still feel fine, but thank God I have a cautious doctor who still ran tests even though I felt okay at my appt yesterday!! Argh.

Holy complications, bat girl! That's just awful! Luckily, you had the smarts to seek treatment, and thank goodness your new doc is thorough!

I'm so sorry you have yet one more set back. Hugs, love and strength coming your way!!!!!

Cecily ! So sorry ! Well, I'm guessing an ambulance is the fastest transit from point A to point B you've had in years ! Scaring the radiologist is never good. You are in the right place ! The ER doctor who was in the hoard who met my gurney being rolled back from ultrasound diagnosing DVD said, "Humans are lucky. Our lungs are the most efficient filters, designed to catch clots and protect our hearts." All of the heart monitors you are now wearing will enable them to be responsive to the slightest changes. You are in the right place !

You had one too?? That's comforting in a "sorry you had a DVT too but glad I'm not alone" way!

OMG Cecily! Yes, thank goodness your doctor checked this. I hope this can be resolved quickly. I would hope that your relative youth and vitality will help. You have been through so much with this surgery.

So glad they found it. Not glad you have one but finding the reason for your pain is key. My prayers for fast healing.

Me too! And thank you for your knowledgeable help and input when it was just a pain. You hit the nail on the head with what it was! I wasn't really thinking blood clot. Wishful thinking perhaps... Hope you're doing well!
