Weight ? until Saturday. Calories 805 (protein 124, carbs 41, fat 18). Definitely more carbs now that dairy is back on the menu, but also more protein. That's probably because I had a lot of my missed cottage cheese yesterday.
Quick post as we are off to Boston early again today. It is the last appointment for a while, thank goodness.
The new deck is done except for the doggie gate for the top of the stairs which will probably be added today. It came out great, much cleaner than the old one and more open because we eliminated a privacy wall that wasn't needed.
DS already sold the carcass of his car for salvage and has figured out his down payment, so now he just has to get a car. And in the meantime guess who is in the taxi business?
I haven't had time to read much of yesterday's thread but hopefully I can do that while DH is being checked out in Boston today.
Have a tingling Thursday!

Liz, you have rocked your post-vacation carb-cold-turkey reset. That's so impressive. Your discipline is one of your many superpowers. :)
Today it'll be 97 freakin' degrees here! I have morning yoga class and errands and a long afternoon at the spa (facial, mani, pedi). And it's time to finalize my packing list.
That's all the news from here. :)
Today's aspirational theme (while I'm feeling pre-trip vibrations): I am calm, I am quiet, I am at peace.

Ann-very hot here too. I don't want to do much but I am looking forward to a dip in the pool this weekend!
Liz-That's a bummer about being the taxi.
Thank you all for your advice for working from home. We have fixed up our library nicely so he does have a good, separate space. He's adhering to a work schedule mostly--although he did take advantage of the flexibility yesterday and left for an early happy hour. Some of this may just be the reality at first as he wrestles with a new project and the desire/stress to prove himself. But I do think the idea of going to the gym or going for a walk could kill two birds with one stone. Or heck, maybe just sitting out on the patio for a bit and admiring the plants!
Weight: 165.6
Tonight we're taking the kids shopping for our beach trip. I love shopping but right now I'm 10lbs. over where I want to be, so that kind of takes some of the fun away.
Scale birthday present: 150.4 (good only for the day--who knows what the darn thing will register tomorrow--but it is a trend, and just the direction I want to be heading-officially I have returned to my goal weight.
Joining in with the "it's going to be a hot one..." here, too. Plans are very minimal- exercise being toting all the tools, paint, blaa--blaa down to the basement, cribbage games and tea with DH, reading, and a nice nap. My father in law used to say when asked how he felt upon reaching another birthday (he lived to 97- very active and a true sweetie). His reply: "Just another day older-just another day..." I have opted to take up the same chime--except to add, "Just another Special day"
To everyone---make this a SPECIAL day.
