Good morning
Thank you for the stats, fascinating. And what a beautiful baby. As for adult children/ sisters they are all a mystery. When I was much younger the world was very precise but my goodness now it is all a lovely grey. Showing mercy is hard to do sometimes.
have a great wed.
I'm back (I think)! Have missed you all very much!
Weight 140 OTD. Not the OTD I would like but I have pretty much maintained within a pound for months I think. Still no exercise, tracking or really following an especially post VSG diet program. Hopefully that will all change soon!
Yesterday marked 10 days since Ben passed. It feels like 3. My life is still a whirlwind of activity. So much financial stuff and changing names on accounts and opening up new ones. Word to the wise.......put car titles in both names, using or between the names, not and. Don't have all accounts with just one person as the primary account holder. Share the love. Even though most credit cards etc. were in both of our names, since Ben was always the "primary" account holder, many of the accounts got cancelled upon his death - even the one credit card that I almost exclusively used and he never used! Have a good enough savings to live on for at least a couple of months if for some reason no income will be coming in (thankfully I think I will be fine here). Ben's first pension check was due to arrive July 1st but since it will now have to be made in my name, we won't get a July check but rather a bigger check August 1st. The life insurance money won't be available for at least a month and I have not even been able to talk to Social Security yet for their death benefits, so they won't come for at least a month or more. I'm glad our savings is not depleted right now.
Diane O, thanks for the statistics on successful maintainers.
Ann - another trip already! I'm jelly! A cousin of mine flew in from CA for Ben's Celebration of Life and he is a world traveler (single gay man). I was lamenting that DS #2 is planning a trip to Europe at age 18 and I have never needed a passport in my life and I'm 53. He said I should travel with him sometime. I might just do that!
Shel, I did see the hiking pics from the other day with the beautiful snow covered Mount Rainier. Jelly of you too but I know I am in no shape to remotely keep up with you on hikes right now! If your clothes are fitting the same, don't worry about what the scale says. I bet your body fat is even lower - time for a new Dexa scan my friend!
Liz, sorry your vacay has ended and that DS got into an accident without insurance. That's a bummer. Enjoy your support group meeting.
BB - Nugget is so precious! I agree with the other about DH's work from home schedule. Have set hours and I really think going to the gym at the end of those set hours will help signal I'm done with work for the day!
I will be nice to catch up with the rest of you on what is going on in your lives.
So nice to see you here. I was about to say it is a sign of a return to normalcy but that isn't right, either. Hugs, hugs, hugs.

Paula!!!!!!! So many smiles and hugs your way.
I can hardly imagine the bits and pieces (big and little) -loose ends you are sifting through right now. Continued smooth sailings wishes there. It is good that financial things are relatively stable.
Take all matters slowly, and most of all, take care of self- pay attention, reach out, and God help you to heal well as you are ready and able to. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Paula, welcome home !!!
