Thank you this is marvelous!

I think you're right on all points--which you so often are!

He has an usual amount of stress since this is a new project and a new job so it's tricky plus he wants to prove himself.

I'm also seeing him the moment he finishes working. He used to have a 30+ min. commute. That commute didn't sound good at the time, but at least it was kind of a transition period.

While the advantage to working from home is that he can set his own schedule, I think you're very wise to suggest a schedule. For him and for ME. I need to try and distract him as little as possible while he's "at work."

The best way I can describe it is he's very intense with me in the evening. I don't think it's me so much as his brain is still processing data and he's distracted and yet very focused and that's rubbing off on his time with me. Don't get me wrong--it's not so terrible. But I think we would all benefit from him being able to take a break from work in the evenings. I'm thinking maybe some kind of transition--like going to work out and burning it off, or playing a video game or something to get his mind onto something else would be helpful.

I worked from home a lot, more at some points in my career than others. In addition to having defined work hours, it is important to have a defined "office", where you are at work when there, but not at work when outside of the office. At one time it was a desk on one side of our family room but the best were separate rooms (which doubled as guest rooms for us). Finally, if DH can create some transition time like taking a walk or something else to disengage that would help as well. Good luck figuring it out. I do have a close friend who like Ann loves her job and it does kind of bleed into all her spare time. It works for her but I'm not sure her husband is always thrilled.

I heard somewhere that that stat- (60%)- has something to do with qualifying a hospital as a" Center of Excellence "--all for insurance purposes. The surgeons need to keep their "success" rates up to qualify for insurance approvals, so they set their expectations low.

On the other hand, with the likelihood of regain (when dieting on your own) not to mention regain that can come even with the WLS -me, for example- maybe 60% is more the norm over time. The goal, as I see it is to stay at the top of that bell curve. What maintenance is all about, right?

I tried it once. My eyelids sag already, so she didn't want to do too much to relax my forehead muscles lest my lids take over my eyes. So she did it in a few spots to lift my eyes. But it gave me a 1/2" wrinkle that's now permanent above my right eye. I don't think I'll do it again!

Bonnie, if you don't mind, there is a picture somewhere in those shoes- dress- smile- something about the perspective- and I saved your picture for reference. She is totally and completely a living dolly!
