Good job! You came home.
As hubby used to say when he was a cop, any shift you come home after was a great shift. :)
Same thing.

Greetings Monday Marvels
149.5 today. Dinner last night for me was refried beans with cheese. A true comfort food for me now. Pre wls I hardly ever ate that except when dining out.
Well Diane O, enjoy your mowing! Wish my DH would develop a love for mowing. And gl with the new vet. Its important. I have considered dumping mine since its a big office and woefully disorganized at the front. And they don't take phone calls between 11am and 1pm. Glad Atlas is getting back to his job.
Liz sorry the jewelry is gone but glad you could find the same watch.
Yesterday I actually did some gardening. I had pretty much given up on it due to problems with my hands. But I decided I would try a little with good gloves. So I moved all this junk that was scattered about the back yard, removed worn out cushions from the deck furniture and did some weeding in the front heather garden. It felt good but its going to be a chore to get rid of those old cushions.
Gallery duty this afternoon and it will likely be slow. At least I will get a walk to the bank.
Ann I looked up Lutheran Red on the internet and read about the tradition of painting the church doors red to symbolize the blood of Christ. But it didn't look like a blood red. More of a claret color to me. Very nice. And glad you did yoga clothed - years ago satellite photos were taken of our neighborhood and you could see our neighbor out in the back of his truck bent over - plumbers crack position. So beware of the eye in the sky. Besides, we don't want you to get skin cancer in a highly unfortunate location.
Yay Peps on Tank's big success. I bet he is a showy little thing! Wish you were coming to our shows here. I would hire you to handle Tesla. Big majors!
Hey BB, glad you liked Jurrasic World and that it reminded you of the original. Reviews have panned it but we will see it anyway. The original is one of our all time favorite movies.
DH is now addicted to the new Lost in Space series. A far cry from the first time around but an interesting take on the original. Two many characters running around for me to keep track of plus much is filmed in that dark creepy sci fi style that everything has these days.
And Ann, we love hearing your book recommendations. Always looking for good ones. Good idea to immerse yourself in Venice before going there. I have heard there is a free on line site to learn languages. Might be fun.
Shel OMG you were actually lost for a bit!! Hope that emergency thing arrives soon. Be careful. Bears are not the only woodland worry. Glad you made it safely. Years ago DH got lost in this state park in the Ozarks. He tried to follow a trail back the way we came and it just ended. We were just starting to get worried when he showed up. But he could get lost in a Wall Mart. What a great view of Ranier! Does it still have snow up there in July?
DH just left to take Tesla for a walk. Old dog Chip was acting like he didn't want to go. He has really slowed down and may need a senior check up.
More coffee for this senior. Can't believe I am this old. Some days I feel every year of it. But not today! Diane S
Yes, Diane -- the free online language teacher site is www.duolingo.com. After two years of goofing around there, I'm "8% fluent in French." Or so Duolingo tells me. She's wrong. But I am flattered.
I told my husband that I can now mispronounce 8% of the French language.
But I haven't attempted to learn any Italian before this trip. I plan to keep my trap shut in Venice.
The last time we were in Paris ... ooh la la! It was bad. Hubby never did stop shaking his head.
And don't ask me what happened once when we were in Cuernavaca. That was even worse!
In Deutschland, however -- mein Deutsch ist ausgezeichnet!

Vorzeihung -- Ich habe hier kein umlauts. ;)

I was home for 13 hours before heading off for So Cal again this morning.
Saw Paula's Caring Bridge Post. Sounds like a nice memorial.
I was up three pounds this morning. All deserved, but I have a feeling it's mostly water weight. My ankles were like tree trunks last night and were still swollen this morning. Another 6 hours in the car today, probably didn't help.
Show was a lot of fun, but I ate like total crap. The good thing is I drank water in volumes I haven't consumed in quite some time - probably a year at least!
Looks like life will be back to normal on Wednesday. I will may have some time to catch up tomorrow. Will check back soon!
