I hope you get back to Venice too, Liz!

One of the greatest joys of this first trip there is that I'm going with a dear friend who adores Venice and can't wait to show me all its charms. He's taking all our party to dinner at Cipriani one night, which is sure to be a show-stopper. :)

Yesterday's eats would've been pretty on track except for one huge misstep: popcorn and coke! We weren't going to have any. Even sneaked in water. But oh it smelled so good. I'm horrified to admit that I ate nearly 1/2 of a large tub. How is that even possible?! In the interest of honesty, I still tracked on MFP yesterday. Right around 2000. 800 of which came from popcorn! (I may have overestimated, but rather do that than under)

The good news is that one day of that doesn't have to undo everything. In reality, a day of 2000 calories would lead to perhaps a very small gain. Maybe.

B: coffee w/ ff half and half

L: 1/2 ham and swiss omelette with 1 slice buttered toast and jam

S: 1/2 large popcorn and less than 1/2 coke

D: 1/2 burger (consisting of 93% lean ground beef, cheddar cheese), 10 ruffles, slice of watermelon

Devon-I would still love to hear your wisdom on puppy training, especially once they're older and perhaps more defiant. I'm pretty sure yorkie is not ill/too old (she's 11) but just that she's a princess. I have no idea why lab is now pooping on the patio. the more I thought about it, the more I wonder if I'm not going to be able to give them the attention they need for their discipline. Especially on the weeks Rich isn't here and I know consistency is key. But I'd definitely like to hear and hopefully try! I get frustrated with them and I know I'm not giving them my best, either :(

Jurassic World was lots of fun. Had flavors of the original Jurassic Park! Totally packed movie theater, which is nice to see for a change.

Weight garbed: 157.8

I woke up feeling so tight in my torso. I ate too much yesterday and I was stretched out, especially my newly tightened stomach muscles. Considering what I went through to get them tight, I don't want to stretch them out again!!

I was thinking that I haven't been eating "good food" lately. Yes, I've been getting my protein, but I was overeating high-calorie stuff to stop losing (worked and now must stop) and not really eating many veggies because I was using the room for protein and higher calorie stuff.

So living in such an urban, health conscious area I have endless choices for weekly meal delivery of fresh balanced macros meals that show up on your doorstep. I settled on Territory where you can choose all sorts of eating styles (I went with low-carb to break my recent carb-dependency) and got meals for 5 days a week. Just had my first breakfast. Scotch eggs (hard boiled egg wrapped in a sausage-y ground meat with sides of butternut squash and kale and other unidentifiable excessively healthy greens). Very healthy. I ate kale. At breakfast. Me. Way too garlicky, which always tastes good going down, but then lives in your pores and breath for days, thus I rarely cook with it. Ew. I may need to designate no garlic for my next delivery if I can. My goal is not to lose weight, but to lose this uncomfortable, too-tight corset feeling, stop eating fatty takeout, and get some more nutrients in me while not having to do anything except microwave the stuff. Sadly, I may have deadly dragon breath in the bargain.

Anyway, time for wound care followed by a dog walk.

PS - I bent over and picked stuff up off the floor today! This is huge as I have found these last 7 weeks that I drop stuff ALL DAY LONG.

Happy Monday all!

I think delivery meals sound like just what you need. So nice to have it available and I am so glad to see you inching toward normal life. Did you think that you would be in MI by now?

I thought I'd be there by mid-June. 4-5 weeks of healing sounded like enough to at least get me there to finish healing. No such luck!

I think I'm heading out there around 7/12. My dad had a plane he sold to his friend who lets us borrow it back if we pay the costs. The pilot (long time friend of my dad's who is a retired American Airlines pilot) is out of town until the 12th... I would never put Fergie on a commercial plane (don't trust them!) and he's getting too old to drive the 3 days there (and I'm in no shape this year).

What a great way to get there. When I win the Powerball lottery, I'm buying a fractional jet membership. I have quite a long list of lifestyle changes I plan to make after I win Powerball!

Bending over and picking up--verifiable proof of healing. Yippee--reward yourself with extra kale!
