Watermelon colored paint on the house exterior . ..LOL! NOT gonna happen. :)

OK, that's an amazing watermelon house, Cecily. But nope -- not gonna happen.
However, Missy150 Bonnie, it will tickle you that my contractor has recommended as the "just a little bit" accent color on some bracing timbers below all my eaves (my country house is built along Craftsman design lines) "Lutheran Red" (see color below). It's no****ermelon, but it sure ain't grey. :)
I think it'll look great, given that the house exterior is grey with green'ish window trim and white porch railings.
And as we all agreed today when I met with the contractor and her husband, "It's only paint, so if we don't like how it turns out we can always change it."
And there's my new, improved theme for the day: "It's only paint!"

My thoughts are with Paula and her family today.
Liz-how beautiful! But I'm sure you'll be glad to be back home.
Diane O.-glad Sadie is doing better. Poor puppy!
Weight: 165. Ok shoot. Gonna set a weigh-in day. I'm still down like 3lbs. on the week and yet this "gain" makes me sad!!!
Yesterday's eats:
B: Birchbender's protein pancakes with sf syrup, sliced strawberries, ff whipped cream, coffee w/ ff half and half
L: Lean cuisine Vermont mac and cheese with tuna pouch stirred in
S: tall iced skinny latte, beef jerky
D: edamame, 1/2 sushi roll
I haven't guessed on the sushi roll calories, but before that I was at 1086 calories and 91 protein.
Today is a cheat day. Not sure I like calling it that. But it's my day to enjoy food without paying such strict attention to calories.
Just trying to take it one day at a time over here. I'm a little overwhelmed, maybe even depressed. I feel bad saying that because I know I have SO many blessings and then feel mad at myself and despair that how could I possibly feel this way when things are so good. I think the best thing I can do is to just recognize that there's been a lot of change (and even hormones) the past couple months. And BREATHE!!!!
Good morning! (Good bye, Aruba!)
Liz, those are great pics and you sure look good on a beach!
Paula, sending love and support on this day. I might send you a virtual nap, too, since you are unlikely to have much rest.
I have worked out and later this morning will likely go with my parents to a local arts fair. I also want to make banana bread, chicken stock and lentil soup but I am oddly exhausted just sitting here after my workout. Plus, I think I am out of salt and I don't feel like running to the store. So, we shall see.
Way too much fruit (local cherries and strawberries!) this last week. I need to curb that (it is the volume eating that is the problem.....)
Ann and M150, good luck to you both on house updates.
Find your recess. Or, maybe nap. Maybe both.
