Such an impressive work life and a loving family man to boot.

Both my dad and my aunt (his sister) have cancer (bladder and lymphoma). My dad was talking to my cousin and saying how sorry he was that they've passed on these bad genes to us kids. My cousin said, "Don't worry, we think we might have more Purcell (their dad) genes than Carter genes. They're mean as snakes, but they live forever."

The best people often are called to heaven far, far too young while the mean ones hang on with us for what can feel like an eternity.
