Weigh 119.8, calories? Eating in tonight definitely.

DH went to bed immediately when we got home from the restaurant last night (about 8:45). I sat on the patio for a while, then went to the bar here to see if our friends were there (they were). I stayed talking until 11, then came back. DH awakened and was upset that I didn't wake him up to go. Yeah, that would have been a great idea: Zombie at the bar and zombie all day today... Sorry, venting...

Not important in the overall scheme of things. Thinking of Paula, the boys and their extended family. Love to all

Good morning,

Yes, Paula. Thinking of you today. I understand about truly believing that Ben was called home and is in a better place. (Me, too.). But, on Father's Day? Oh, man.....my heart to you and the boys.

Liz, are you getting worried about your Paris trip? (Am I remembering right that there is a Paris trip?)

Honeyed-Cecily, how art thou?

I hiked yesterday, a repeat from just a couple of weeks ago. I started early (thank goodness, because there were 150-200 cars parked when I left) and it is was still cloudy. But, Mt Rainier isn't the only potential show in town. The bear grass was blooming, making that steep climb to the top much easier than I remember. (Bruno Mars playlist didn't hurt, either.)

I am listening to a audible book, name-currently-forgotten, that is "environmental fiction." I didn't know that was a genre. Trees, by the way, think (one of) humans problem is that we have no roots. Most of the book is people/story focused but there are great trees woven in. The most important thing is that it is entertaining.

My parents are in town. (Speaking of roots.) Lots of family stuff today.

Enjoy the day, Shel

Oh, Shel! Everything's so beautiful. But those bendy trees -- wow! I know just how that happens (the slope loves gravity, and the trees love the sun).

Your hiking photographs are so gorgeous. They help me miss a little less living near real mountains.

I wondered what process was behind those trees! THANKS for simple explanation. (Now, lets graph it....)

Yes Shel, we have a 15 day Scotland, Ireland, Paris trip at the beginning of September. And yes, I'm a little concerned but it's now or never. We will be on a bus tour the first 10 days and didn't book much for the last 5 in Paris. Hopefully DH will sleep on the bus and nights will be early.

BTW, DH didn't remember last night when he got up...

Forgetting upsetting things is one (sad) advantage of memory loss progression. MIL never reached the point of forgetting that a part of her was missing. (That is something that still wrenches my soul.) However, day to day indignities were soon forgotten.

Random, geeky slide from conference earlier this year. It is shows how fruits/vege's rank on fructose/fiber. It was NOT being shown as saying one if better than another. Just informational. (Voice drops to whisper: Avocados rock)

Shel, this is an AWESOME graph -- fructose vs. fiber. Even uses the same scale for both measures: grams of fructose/fiber per grams of food weight. Such a perfect x/y presentation.

I'm a huge geek about graphics that are designed to show relationships easily and accurately.
