Rest in Peace Ben
Paula's dear husband left this earth in the early hours this morning as Paula graciously and beautifully wrote in the Caring Bridge post. I believe Cecily posted the link. We all share grief for a man we never met but who clearly left an important mark on this earth. Our deepest sympathy to Paula and family. May you find comfort in your faith and family. We are all thinking of you.
Peace, sweet Paula.

Paula, There isn't anything meaningful that I can say at this point, other than that Ben is now at rest and you and your family helped him to have a "beautiful" death. A friend of mine referred to my daughter's death that way because she was able to say goodbye, was ready and left peacefully. I have always found comfort in that. Now the hard part comes for you and your sons, but remember Ben's strength and dignity and it will help you to carry on.

Paula and boys, please accept my condolences for your tremendous loss. Ben sounds like the most amazing man and I wish I had been able to watch him teach and interact with him as a friend. Peace and serenity as you navigate these next days and months.

Paula's Caring Bridge post was beautiful.
My sympathies and condolences to Paula and her boys. Honestly, after reading Paula's Caring Bridge post it hard for me not to smile thinking about Ben being "called home". Her description of the positive's of Ben's race with cancer were uplifting rather than sorrowful to me.
My prayers continue for Paula and the boys.
Yes, as usual you find the salient point. That Ben was called home. It feels comforting.
