Greetings Peeps, Peps, Pups, Pets and Pals
Back to 149.5 today. No doubt due to my big gym workout. I did mostly leg weight machines since my crappy hands don't do well with free weights. My leg strength has deteriorated. I could only leg press about 45 lbs. Years ago I could do 170 in my fat days. Of course, I was carrying about that much fat around. The old people's exercise class focuses a lot on thigh muscle strength so that we don't lose the ability to get on and off the pot. For some reason, those muscles seem to be the first to get wimpy. So we do the "heiney hover" - hovering over a chair without sitting on it.
DH is off to the big city for a trip to Target which has his favorite Atkins shakes. So I insisted he take the electric car. No sense driving the gas hog suv plus he loves the EV. Apparently people have contests with their EV's to see who can get from point A to point B using the least amount of electricity.
Dave enjoy the farm life. I so enjoy cow watching. There are a lot of dairy farms around here. In the summer its so dry they actually irrigate the pasture land so the grass grows more. Maybe I like cows because they get to just eat all day long. I used to have this favorite cow which was all white but spotted like a Dalmation. Haven't seen her lately.
Great spot for a walk Liz. Bet justice loved it. Since DH is on his mission to Target our dogs may not get a walk today. Think I will take the old one for a walk later today. DH will also lunch with friends and hear about the walk of Hadrian's wall.
Diane O, I love you reminders to breathe in the good energy and stuff and push out the bad stuff. Thats what I really love about our art studio - everyone is having such a good time there its all happy and positive. Like dogs at the beach.
Hey Peps, congrats on being a prospective dog dad soon. All that wild "school's out" kid energy - no wonder you are tired.
Cecily, hope each day finds you a little better and that Chinese phone calls don't find you. We have had 3 this morning (but not Chinese).
Hey, I just noticed that two bicycles are no longer in our living room. Maybe DH put the rack up in the garage. Oh rats, they are out on the deck.
Enough of this stream of consciousness. Coffee awaits. Diane S
Hello fellow warriors. Just a quick check in to let you know that I?ve still got my head in the game! I gave myself enthusiastic permission to be in holiday food mode while in San Francisco and got right back on track after I returned. Currently holding at 117, which is damn good at almost 6 years out.
Havent been reading ding every day but Paula is on my mind. I haven?t seen her post so am assuming she is busy with family matters.
It it was absolutely wonderful to meet Devon in San Fran! As you already know, Devon is a beautiful human being, inside and out. Hoping we will meet again before too long!
Much love to all of you.

Nice to hear from you Linda and glad you are doing well. If you read earlier in this thread you'll hear what is happening in a Paula's world.

Weight?
Really nothing to report here. I might get dressed at some point and go pick up Fergie's prescriptions from the vet. Or I might not. Otherwise just sitting here eating and watching Poirot episodes.
Tomorrow is my doctor visit. Hope he is dishing out hope during my appointment. I could use some!
Cecily, I thought of you while watching one of those 600 Pound Life skin removal shows. It kind of creeps me out when they wheel in the pile of skin to show the patient. Did they do that to you? Just wondered. Hope you are feeling a little better. I went to pick up dog pills yesterday only to find the office closed for some kind of office meeting.
Yep, your surgeon should indeed dish out some hope. After all, its not a 4 letter word. Oh wait, it is. DS
