Amen, amen to your prayer. God's good grace and mercy be upon you.

Paula, you and your entire family are in my thoughts and prayers. You are such a strong, brave woman but I wish you didn't have to be so strong. I hope that Ben is able to go peacefully and that you are surrounded by family and feel God's love. Bless you for finding the time to check in. I think of you numerous times throughout the day.

My DD was afraid of pain and asked the doctor what would hasten her death and be relatively painless. Her doctor said that going without liquids would allow her to die fairly quickly and easily. That more or less happened because once she went on IV morophine she couldn't be hydrated (couldn't drink liquids by mouth anymore). She had a calm and peaceful death while a hospice music therapist was playing the harp in the background. "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" always makes me cry.

Ben will go peacefully as well, as he has done what he needed to prepare.
