good morning everyone.

i hope that today will be a day where weeping wounds dry up, that end of school days lighten up, that head hunger issues dry up and that DH woes just plain get resolved.

2:30 am and wide awake. Could be worse :running for my life away from lava flows and erupting volcanoes.

Have a great Thursday and remember that Friday is a- coming.

And all local political parties keep quiet. We have City elections in the fall and already the rhetoric has begun.

2:30 am! That just isn't right!

Weight 116.4, calories 1103. More calories than I planned for, but I'm getting bored with my restriction this week. I need to find something different today. Weight just doesn't want to drop any lower which brings back out my musings about whether it is my "setpoint".

Two days to Aruba. I'm going to do laundry today and get most clothing staged (and possibly packed). DH did pretty well with a detailed list. I pack by putting as much as will fit into our bags. I like to have choices, but rarely wear everything. We mostly wear bathing suits and coverups ****il 5 or so every day).

DS wants a puppy. I'm really not ready for a 3 dog household and certainly not one with a puppy. His friend has a dog DS loves who is pregnant, due in late August. If he takes a puppy it will be right before we leave for Florida and hopefully he is moving out before we return next spring (that's the current plan anyway). Maybe it won't impact us much...

We took Justice for a long walk in West Falmouth yesterday. The picture here is for the segment of the walk which was on the bike path:

Puppies---so seductive! Ahhhh. Ive learned the phrase, "No, no thank you." My kiddos love the things- then their situation changes and homes are needed (ours seems to be the default choice).

Hmmm....born in late August would mean the breeding hasn't even happened yet. Gestation is 63 days. Maybe puppy would be ready for its new home in late August?

Liz, your walk looks fabulous ! Two weeks in Aruba sounds much better than a puppy, although congrats on Ella, Devon !! Carbon, I echo your invitation for all forms of healing for the aches, strains, wounds of the body, mind and heart. Let's continue to focus on what we intend to realize, rather than lamenting what is. Sometimes the next best step is all we can realize...baby steps are fine...just keep an eye on the prize and keep the momentum moving upward.

I have to run out for a few errands, then will take a walk down a country road I rarely travel, as the eau de pig manure fragrance has finally dissipated ! Hoping we can string a few days of sunshine together so I can paint our two Adirondack chairs and accompanying table barn red.

Those piggies certainly do overspray when it comes to the perfume (brand of which I do not care for)- We very rarely catch a drift of it from the NW. Luckily, the wind does not generally travel that way...the lot is a county away!

Many years ago when I used to run, there was a beautiful read which was my favorite running spot, EXCEPT that it went by a pig farm. When the wind was blowing off the farm watch out!
