Did Gwen have a tough time? It seemed like it took her a long time to be healed.

I would be super frustrated about 1 foot of openings, too. I know you do absolutely everything possible to promote healing.
Might as well start smoking :)

Greetings Wednesday Peace Seekers
I was going to write Wednesday Warriors but decided we should not characterize ourselves as such. Life and weight issues should not be treated as a war. Not much good comes of it. Glad that OH treats weight loss as a journey and not a battle. Whats that old hippie saying "What if they gave a war and nobody came?". You can tell I live in an enclave of aging hippies.
148.5 today. I have stepped back from the precipice . Shows what a little activity can do. I know food consumption (or lack thereof) is the biggest factor in weight loss but I believe my activity level had become so low it was a factor. Trying to rekindle the feeling I had after reaching goal where I was happy to park far away and walk more or take on garden activities because I COULD.
Well Liz, Paris will be fun. So much to do there that it will be tiring. A city tour is probably best then you can go back and visit places you liked more leisurely. I bet you will walk so much you won't have to worry about the calories.
Ann and Carbon it must be so hard to not have the companionship you once had. I lived alone as an adult for quite some time but find it hard to imagine now. So impressed with how you get out and about. Yes it makes sense that it affects your activity level greatly. And Carbon, that knee must be cramping your style. We know you will work up to your walking goals slowly and safely.
And hey, I am going to order that book about how to not procrastinate. When I get around to it.
Well the local supervisors election is still unresolved. Vote count too close to call. Its amazing how much money must have been spent on this race - tons of tv adds, signs, print adds, people running around with signs on the street corner and candidates coming to the door. I can't figure out why anyone wants that job so much. At least all the local school bond measures passed.
Diane O, you have a lovely yard. The teachings of Buddha should be studied by all.
Shel, glad your DH is addressing the health issues. I was diagnosed with IBS many years ago but it wasn't that bad and it sort of went away with stress reduction. Hoping there is an easy treatment (read: pill) so vacation days can be used as such. Probably lifestyle changes will be in order which is easier said than done.
Last night's dinner was just scrambled eggs cooked the way BB described. They were very good and filling. Thanks for the tip BB. So much better cooked on very low heat. DD has a temporary crown so we will probably be into softish things for awhile.
Cecily, wish I had a magic pill to help you heal faster. There is that scar gel material that is good but I suspect you are too early on for use of that. Hope you have some "phone a friends". Speaking of phones, are junk phone calls getting out of control for everyone? We are on the do not call list plus have a couple of electronic systems in place to put numbers on the hang up list. But they just get new numbers. I have never once bought anything sold through a telephone solicitation. Why do they keep calling?
Well I have managed to fritter away the morning and missed the exercise class. Instead I will go work in the weight room which I can do on my own schedule. Then the usual rounds of studio etc. But first more coffee of course. Diane S
