Greetings Purple People

Yep Thursday is still purple day. I once had an art teacher who would never use the word "purple". The color was always violet. Not sure what she had against purple. Its now my favorite color which used to be pink.

Up tp 149 today. Not good. New high since wls. My own dang fault. Just can't seem to find my protein mojo. Must contemplate why I am getting so lax. Then stop it.

Yep Diane O, it seems like one should be able to reverse all the negative input from childhood or fat years that came our way. I think thats the cognitive therapy approach. That self help book "Feeling Good" might be worth a re-read.

So wishing there was something we could do for Paula. Thoughts and prayers seem inadequate.

Carbon do tell what your program is. Its amazing you have lost 22 lbs having just had the knee done which certainly shows its not about walking off the pounds.

Cecily, I hope the shower was as big a treat as you had hoped and that you have escaped the dang chair.

Peps, sorry that Tank has that little issue which of course is a big issue in the dog show world. You will do whats best for you and Tank. Here's to the end of the school year for you and Ron.

Not much else to report. My daily activities of studio, gallery and errands seem pretty dull. Methinks its time to look for adventure. But first, you know......Diane S

Weight: Forgot again

I HAVE SHOWERED!! It felt awesome. I have those scrubby mitts and scrubbed and scrubbed, but I just looked down and my arms look like they're peeling. I think this is going to take more than one shower to get me back to square one. I also managed to shave my legs. I'm sure I missed a lot, but my legs aren't itching in my compression suit anymore. I consider myself really low maintenance, but 3 weeks of no maintenance is way too low even for me.

And my house cleaners came today and I was able to get out of their way upstairs so my recliner area could be cleaned. Everything feels clean right now. Aaaaahhh.

Reveling in, absorbing, and amplifying my positives today...

Eating is going well.

Back pain is back to baseline. The procedure is supposed to take a month to feel less pain. But I think I am feeling some improvements. Certainly no worse.

Alcohol consumption is significantly less. Weight is no longer increasing.

I needed something to do so I mowed my son s yard. He has an air cushion seat on his mowers. I put sunscreen on my arms and head. I usually wear long pants but for some reason I put on shorts. I am no longer Caucasian, my legs are bright pink. Feels like I have shin splints when I get out of bed. Today I have been in an air conditioned cab planting grass seed in the south 50 acres. I put aloe gel with lidocaine on first then sprayed sunscreen and then long pants. But, My back pain is much better.

I do not know how I can be sapped of energy sitting in an air conditioned cab but I am beat.

Adalyn has her 4th ear infection in 5 months. She is truly miserable. She was not even smiling. She was referred to ENT yesterday. Looks like tubes are in her future. Same ENT that did DD#1 s tubes when she was little 28 years ago.

More later, David

Sunburns can take the stuffing out of you! Your body is healing itself and that is an energy sapper.

I hope your back continues to improve. You've been through a lot.

My DS had a lot of ear infections too but the antibiotics worked well for him (augmentin). Our friends grandchild just had to have the tubes put in. Always scary the first time they have anesthesia (as you well know).
