Good morning, family ! Peps reminded me of the degree to which we absorb and amplify all of the negative input and often deflect and disregard the positive. Years and years of shaming and chipping away. What would it take to reverse that ? Deflect and disregard the negative and absorb and amplify the positive ... sounds so simple. It is the same skill set, at the opposite end of a continuum.

Picking moss out of river rocks in gardens in several sections around house today ... lots of meditative time ! Atlas LOVES his wading pool and fetching sinking toys out of it. He decided to play in the five gallon dog water bubbler by the back door last night (he upends and carries around water bowls), splashing half onto the rug before we got to him. No pictures of that !

Off to absorb and amplify the positive !!

Last night I slept so well and feel much better this morning. Thank you, Tylenol PM.

I literally have nothing worth reporting about yesterday, except that I got a lot done.

This morning's sunrise is beautiful, and I'm going to take my latte out on the deck to admire it better. :)

I may actually mow today, unless it rains. Sort of wi**** would rain.

See how little I have to report? ;)

Today's theme: Stay balanced.

Weight 116 OTD, calories 775. Down 2.6 pounds since Tuesday! MUST have been poop and sodium. I'm still going to stay vigilant over the next couple of weeks leading up to vacation.

I'm sobered by Paula's vigil and I wonder if part of my funk the other day (which seems to come and go a bit) is my empathy for her. I have been thinking of Elise a lot lately (a good thing).

Sending love to you all. Thankful Thursday (grateful that we are all here for each other)!

Paula, thinking of you and holding you in my heart.

Well, braved the scale and since April 12 am down 22 pounds. Very surprised and pleased. A whole bunch more of regain to lose but it is a start. And now that am becoming more active that should help.

More hydrotherapy today and a meeting and then coffee with friends. My runnng lights are out at the back of the car am trying to figure out how to change it myself. I sort of begrudge paying someone a lot of $$$ for a two second job, or at least that is what a few girlfriends have told me. I might have to call a BIL and will never hear the end of that.

Happy Thursday! Already Thursday!

Congrats on the weight drop. 22 pounds in 7 weeks is more than 3 a week. Wow!

Good luck with the lights - I know what you mean on spending $$$ on something that looks simple when they do it.

Carbon, I'd say that 22 weeks since mid-April is more than a "start"! I don't think I ever lost that much weight that fast -- either before or after WLS.

Seriously -- what are you doing / what have you changed that's producing that kind of weight loss? Inquiring minds really would like to know. :)

So, I suppose I'm feeling a little better about things today. However, I'm still feeling very uncomfortable in my skin.

My weight is up only a pound this morning, which means I'm down one of the two that came back. This is a positive.

Ron may not be ready for pantry purge, but I am. I may just do it by myself. Ron is tired and cranky. I think he's simply worn out from the end of school year concerts, and lack of sleep. He has been so much better than I about getting ample sleep, but lately I seem to be the one getting 7-8 hours, not he.

So, this may sound weird to most of you, but Tank was given to me as a show prospect. His show prospectiveness is diminishing by the day since his right testicle remains undescended. I adore the little guy, but I need another "pet dog" like I need a another hole in my head! I wrestled with the decision to take him, and now I'm wrestling with the decision over what to do given the likelihood that he will not be a show dog - keep or place in a good pet home. Sigh.... He's such a Daddy's Boy that he charms me off of my feet! Double sigh.... We shall see....

So much surfacing from the depths for me these days. I think I should start journaling with more regularity.

I also do not read during the school year. I love losing myself in a good book. I must make the effort to read more during the summer.

I'm here, and waving a friendly hello to all--my day is full-not physically, but more of a very overfull mind that needs to be unpacked, as it were, and contemplated, sifted, and repacked- hopefully, a bit lighter.
