166.2 again.

But much worse day calorie wise yesterday. However, I do feel like I ate pretty "intuitively"/did not overeat really. Just didn't make the best choices.

B: white cheddar popcorn bag (just to tide me over for early lunch)

L: 1/2 monte cristo sandwich with fruit side (was planning a much healthier lunch,, but this sounded SO good!!)

S: meat and cheese protein snack

D: 1/2 planked salmon and 1/2 veggies

..but the red peppers hurt my stoma*****redibly (fodmap?) so I ended up eating some pretzels and a real coke to settle it. Grrrr

Today I continue filling my time with meeting friends

!58.8 - scales playing a broken record over and over...

Not much going today. Did have lunch out with Kurt and the boys- fajitas-- Often we get together with just the one or the other (except holidays, birthdays, etc.), so it was a treat to be all together for a casual meal all together.

Big slow down with the house- am at that tiresome point of organizing desk drawers, cubbie holes, shelves, closets, etc. Library had been morphing over the last years into an art studio of sorts (Jerrys Artorama and I have been having an open love affair going--(poor Kurt)--Jerry sends me "presents" in the mail, and Kurt pays for them. Anyways, the loot has been piling up in corners, against walls, and it is so time to find order out of chaos. Finding a place for everything is tedious, but necessary affair.

Upstairs landing is done--good enough, anyways...

Oh boy, do I love that chest! What year was the house built? It has "old fashioned" moulding around the doors that speak to me. Hard to find houses with that old character in CA.

We have really enjoyed this "old house". It was buil in 1921-22. Many of the old building records were still tucked away in the dining room window seats. There are 28 windows, some outsized. The cost of the windows was $3.50 a piece. Can you imagine? The siding of the house is Florida cypress and the basement walls were "cold poured" which means that the frame for the walls was set, and then every day cement was made by hand batch by batch and poured till it was too dark to see. You can tell by the "joint seams just how far they got each day, and we figure that it took 4 days to pour the basement walls. Pretty cool, except the seams make for damp basement walls when it rains a lot. No finished basement here for sure.

What a warm cozy looking home. Reminds me of my grandparent's craftsman. Beautiful. I hear you on the cleaning of drawers. I so need to do that. All are stuffed. Diane S
