Greetings Monday Masters

148.5 today. Not so good. The only thing bad I ate yesterday was a Cliff bar. I was in a sort of desperate for food situation and it was all I could get other than coffee shop pastries. I went to the gallery yesterday am thinking it would be a quick drive by to check up on the carpentry work done to accomodate a newer computer sales system. Well it was a disaster. Built in such a ridiculous way that the member doing the wiring couldn't fit his hands in to reach the ports. Had to unscrew it and move it and it is still awful. So I had to hang around doing what I could while the internet went down and I had to call ATT and talk to someone who barely spoke english as well as figure out how to work a cranky dustbuster to remove accumulated dust from computer cubby. Then we had to move the back counter and it fell apart. I went to get coffee for our hard working member who did the wiring and thats when the Cliff bar jumped into my face. The mess is still going on. Internet down. I so hate this stuff.

Hey Liz, Paris in September. How fun. Hope it works out. Sounds like SIL is just not going to step up.

Shel that cougar attack made the national news. Terrible. One thing they say is to NOT run as that makes you like prey. Stand your ground and wave your arms and try to look bigger. We had such an attack near here (College cove hike) and a man was badly injured. His wife fought off the cougar with a stick and they managed to get to the road and get help.

Peps loved the pictures with you and Linda. Glad that worked out. And congrats on the dog show wins. There could be a BIS in your future!

Hey Cecily thanks for sharing the lounge picture. Good for you. Bet you will feel much better with the hair washed.

More chicken apple sausages last night plus the cauliflower "rice". Good stuff and convenient. More tonight. Maybe with fish.

Well Diane O. wishing you an improved day. Being with a PTSD person must have its trials. Your strong spiritual and compassionate core is surely a help.

Time for more caffeinated veggie juice. Cheers all. Diane S

When I told SIL what the quote for the airfare was she said that last month it was less, so it must have gone up because we are closer to September now - grrr... she never passed the information on then!

Feel like there isn't much to say after such a late post last night.

Weight was stable over the weekend. My legs and lower back are still sore from workout on Friday and I think possibly a little over doing it this weekend at the dog show.

I am NOT about being on a diet, right? But, I can't help hoping to drop a pound or two this week. I love when the number on the 10s place changes to a lower digit. I'm sure it'll happen if I continue what I'm doing, so no worries. But obviously, there is still a part of me that is wrapped up with the number. Why else would I care about the digit in the 10s place, right?

I gained - averaged out - about 2 pounds a month for 26 months. Per month that seems terribly minimal. But damn! That's 52 pounds. How intense is that? Amaze balls IN-TENSE! Just observing... no judging...

Personal triumph: Free food in teacher's lounge. Good stuff, too. Only thing I ate was fruit. (Fruit is a 'free' food for me at this point along the journey.) Total win. I was given an inivitation to a library event. Accompanying the invite was a chocolate biscotti. I haven't eat that either, but it called to me today, so I'm thinking I better get rid of it before my resolve withers away.

Merry Monday Melodious Ones

So the bad news about 2lbs./month is it adds up.

But the necessary and fantastic corollary to that is, small changes add up too! 2lbs. a month means just an adjustment of 250 calories a day can get you back to your goal. I know, that doesn't sound fast enough. But I'm always amazed at how quickly a year goes by!

I'm heeere, albeit late. Went to the city today to see my shrink who continues to be brilliant and very helpful. Also had lunch with our old loft friends and am going back this weekend for a Memorial Day weekend party. All in all, a very good day. :)

Weight this morning was back down to 133.2. Yesterday's cals were about 1,500.

Talk to y'all tomorrow. Happy about everyone's triumphs and sending hugs to all with ongoing challenges.

Xoxo

Hey all, the OH newsletter had a good article about maintenance not being on a diet but healthier habits. Its stuff we all know but good reminder. D
