Weight 118.2 (pre-poop), calories 1053. The last few days I've been exactly the same as my weights one year ago (per MFP). I guess that's pretty good.
I've started working on our Paris plans in September so we can get the trip finalized. I am annoyed with SIL who said that she would talk to the travel agent for the other part of the trip (Scotland/Ireland) at least 6 weeks ago, but she didn't tell me that they couldn't help until I asked about it last week. I feel like our travel costs are going to be higher because of the delay. Sigh...
Today we go to Boston for a neurologist appointment. Some people think these are a big deal, but with Alzheimer's they can't really do anything. So we really go so they can tell us what we already know about the progression (with the potential for a medication change but not to anything that will help much).
Anyway the sun is out which always lifts my spirits and Justice is curled up next to me in the sunroom, so all is good.
Have a marvelous Monday!

Weight: still 160.6 all suited up.
I'm going to attempt to wash my hair by myself today in the kitchen sink. How my days have shrunk since surgery! That'll pretty much be my Monday.
My sleep schedule is all out of whack. I slept in until 9 yesterday, napped for 4 hours midday and have been up since 2.
Incisions are starting to itch a lot. Healing is underway I guess.
Happy Monday, all!
Look at you- washing your hair by yourself today---progress is progress! Way to forge on.

Paula, so glad you checked in. I hope that Hospice can provide you with the guidance, support and clarity they were able to give us with my Dad. The nurses who visited most were able to help us identify signs that helped to prepare us for the next steps in the progression. I wish I lived closer and could offer to DO something to support you more than virtual hugs and mere words. We are all here for you !
Really rough weekend with DH. Just when things look bright and stable something comes out of the blue to remind me how PTSD can present itself in so many profound and unanticipated ways. Won't say more for now... Sadie and I have therapy work this morning, and my happy face armor is in place.

Weight: 166.2! That's a nice surprise.
I didn't do as well with calories yesterday as I'd hoped: 1953 with 39% from fat! But I did track, so there's that.
B: oatmeal packet with 1 T. raisins, 1 T. pecans, made with fairlife milk
L: white chicken chili
S: (where things went a little south) My DSS is moving out and I decided to order him and his friend pizza. It was about 4pm so I was getting hungry but too early for dinner. 1 1/2 pieces pepperoni pizza.
D: salad with 1 buffalo chicken strip, 6 croutons, 1 T. cheddar, 6 grape tomatoes, 2 T. bolthouse ranch dressing
5 oz. wine, peanut M&M's
All accounted for.
Good morning!
I felt super productive yesterday but didn't get as much done as hoped. The herbal tower planter was entirely root bound and I had to go to war to empty it.
Cecily, are there (ahem) pictures of you in current state? You said we should have pictures! Of every state!!! Don't be shy!!!! (Take it before your planned hair wash)
There was a horrific cougar attack and death over the weekend. It happened at the time I was taking pictures of woodland flowers but on the other side of the interstate and a few miles east. I had texts from my neighbor when I reentered cell coverage.
It was the first such attack in 90 years or so and I was comforted by that ("ultra rare"****il I read the horrific details in the New York Times (!) yesterday. 2 mountain bikers. The bikers made no mistakes. One made it out, the other didn't.
So, as so many of my elderly patients say "I am here today!" We are here! Celebrate that. Maybe with a picture.

Oh, my--I saw that! I didn't know those are your stomping grounds. Do you take any special precautions when you go out and about besides observation and awareness ? I will send a substantial donation to the zoo on your future behalf (just kidding, but- geeze-Louise.

Well, I have pepper spray and sharp, pointy, carbon-fiber hiking poles. But, but that is more for potential creepy people.
I have only seen bear spray carried by one or two others on the relatively well traveled trails I choose. (Bear spray is big. It is easy to spot on a back pack or belt) This is in contrast to, say, Alaska where everyone has bear spray. And/or guns.
I am not sure anything would have helped those poor bikers. The whole thing is disconcerting and heart breaking.
Honestly, I am more worried about falling into a ravine where other hikers might not happen upon me. Some day, I will have a personal locator beacon, once I figure out what I want.
I agree with geeze-Louise. And, a donation to the zoo ;)
