Paula-thinking about you and your family constantly. I wish I had words of wisdom, but I just want to say hugs and I hope you can soak up as much good times with your family in the coming weeks as possible.

Hi Paula,

Thanks for stopping in. I think of you often. So glad that DS1 is getting something out of his program. Maybe he is ready to listen?

Do you have plans for a celebration for DS2? I can not comprehend what Ben's mental calendar for himself looks like. Just thinking about it stops me in my tracks.

And then there is you. Do you feel like you are waiting to exhale?

Have you mentioned the timing dilemma to hospice? I know they don't have a crystal ball, either.....but they do have a lot of experience.

FWIW, I spend most of my time between 125 and 134. The view is fine. And, the woods are awfully old and not going anywhere, they will be ready when you are.

Take care, as best you can. hugs!

Greetings Paula, so glad to hear things are going well with your boys. Wish there was better news for Ben. Shel is right on talking to hospice. Take the leave when your gut tells you too. And Shel is right too that the woods will be here. All the best. Diane S

Paula, my dad had the most horrendous hiccups 24/7 with his chemo - Calling then hiccups really understates how awful they were. More like rapid fire diaphragm spasms through which he couldn't take a breath. Taking Compazine was the only thing that kept them at bay.

Maybe ask Hospice what they think? Some of the experienced people have a better sense than anyone. Another tough ask, but they are better at full disclosure sometimes than physicians.

Very late check in - AGAIN.....

Good dog show day, though I was up very early and gone all day. Livvy finished her AKC championship today and Ace went Best of Breed beating the top Western USA region Airedale champion. So a nice dog show day for me....

I was kind of proud of myself for sticking to my no sugar commitment today. It was hard. I stopped for coffee on the way to the show. I wanted a pastry - or so I thought. Instead I an egg sandwich (230 cals), but ditched the top level of bread. Later I turned down FREE CHOCOLATE...Then at dinner I passed on tasting the pastry wrapped cheesecake bites, quickly deep fried, drizzled with raspberry glaze. They did look yummy!

Dinner was wonderful. It was simply AWESOME to have dinner with Spencerella (Linda) and Rob. I felt like I was having dinner with old friends. I am going to tell you all the truth. Photos do not do Linda justice. She's gorgeous! Her eyes twinkle, her voice is commanding, yet feminine and sultry, an she carries herself with such an air of self assuredness. Understanding emanates from her being. Oh! Her hair is fan-******g-tastic! She gave up coloring her hair and has stunning steel grey hair, trimmed into an edgy pseudo pixie cut. She is every bit as awesome IRL as she is here on OH.

Off to get ready for tomorrow and the week.
