And full disclosure, I left out the stains from leaking incisions on my nightshirt that didn't come out in the wash and the fact that my hair has been washed once and never styled in the last 12 days and I've used nothing but body wipes over the same timeframe. I'm beauty personified!!!!! Never felt grosser in all my 46 years...

I'm trying to come up with something uplifting to say and all I have is giggles :)

Laughter is the only reasonable response. Anything else ignores the sheer ridiculousness of what I've done to myself in the name of better fitting pants!!

Tee Hee Cecily, I too am giggling at your description of personal grossness. Fortunately it WILL go away. My best friend and I both had liposuction on our thighs at about the same time 30 years ago. We used to laugh about how, due to the compression garment, you had to check yourself very carefully for bits of stray toilet paper when going in for a doctor's check up! But hey, it was all worth it and it will be worth it for you too in the end. Keep the humor and ditch the stained nighty. Onward and good luck. Just think of the new slim waist clothes you can get! Amen! I'm rotating through 3 ugly nightshirts and will promptly burn them all at the end of this! Does burning spandex from compression garments put off toxic fumes? If not, they can go in the bonfire too...

PS - thank you for the stray TP check advice. I hadn't even considered it, but can easily imagine it happening as there are lots of foreign things for it to stick to down there right now.

158.0.

Very laid back Sunday. Pentecost service today. The color of the day is red. I have a sweet red dress, but on second thought (looked in the mirror like a bit more of the snug-hug was going on than I'm comfortable with, so red blouse and black trousers came out.). It has occurred to me that I haven't (willingly) had a picture of me taken since my regain. Since I'm actually looking in a mirror again, perhaps it's time to venture a peek.

Enjoy- and yes, Every day matters--spend it well.

Isn't it amazing how easy it is to stop seeing yourself? I think I went for years just looking at my head in any full length mirror I came across. Decades of my life are undocumented because I refused to be in pictures. Weight and our attitudes toward it can really steal huge chunks of our short time on earth.

Take the picture with a loved one in it with you, smile, and try to see it for what it is - a moment in your life spending time with someone you care about. Not fat or thin or somewhere in between. Just you being you! A lesson I never learned, but wish I had.

You are so right to suggest pictures with loved ones. So many of our pictures have everyone but me because I would offer to take the picture to avoid being in it.

Late post. 139.something. It was 140.something before the poop!

I read or at least scan most every day but just don't feel like I have much to add except for personal updates and I don't want it to always be about me and mine! Household and parenting duties are now exclusively mine, guess I'm in training for what will be mandatory soon.

Eating like crap. Amounts are small but choices suck. I want to lose another 10. I think I will be satisfied with 130. But then again, once I'm there, who knows. I want to finish my PS more now than ever. Have no idea if and/or when that will be feasible.

DS #1 is enjoying his intensive mental health program and I think learning some good stuff. DS #2 graduates on Friday. DS#3 just keeps growing - I feel like a child around him (he is 6 feet and 230 lbs and full of muscle). Sweet boy!

DH is not eating much at all (just had liquids yesterday). He is also hiccupping almost non-stop. I had to put in ear plugs to sleep last night. He hadn't had bowel movement for 2 weeks but had a little success today. He says he is not constipated (hard to believe with the amount of pain meds he takes). I guess very little in does equate to very little out though.

I'm still working but probably not for much longer. I so wish I had a crystal ball to tell me when to take my leave. I want to spend as much time as I can with Ben, but don't want to take my leave too early in case he hangs on for a while and then I run out! Grrrrr!

Loved the pics Shel. I wish we lived by each other so I could go hiking with you. I would love a future trip to your next of the woods some day.

Ann, the dinner did sound very Midwestern. We have Chicken Q's with BBQ chicken, coleslaw, baked beans, maybe potato salad and a roll with butter. They used to be my favorite!

BB - you are doing such a great job as a new Mommy! Cherish this precious time you have with Nugget!

Cecily, so glad you are on the mend and the bladder probs. are now in the rear view mirror!

Love to you all!
