You know what I don't like? I don't like that I always make a point of checking out Oprah's weight. Why can't I leave that alone? That woman is so much more than her weight.

Also, about the wedding clothing....loved the greens. I need more green.

Good morning.

David I would jump 100 feet I'd ran into a rattlesnake. We don't have poisonous ones here but the bull snakes are massive and scare on size alone.

Procrastination: Wow! Yes! However am staring to put a limit on my time to dilly dally. "The floor needs to be washed". Ok. You have 1/2 hour to think about it but at the end of those 30 minutes it is to be done. Most of the time this has worked but there are the OTHER days.

Enjoy your Sat.

Friends, (how nice it is to type that word). Good Saturday to all.

Previous summers past it took me weeks transitioning from school to summer mode. (Nothing done- yes---that word--PROCRASTINATION until I would wake to the possibilities before me. Wasted.). This year, wow- only took one day to transition.

158.6 a pound up, but not concerned. I try to use the scale as an indicator of trends. When it goes up, I take inventory of behaviors. Food spot on- no worries. I am increasing veggie consumption- even had the first strawberry takings out of the garden yesterday. YUM. Kurt brought in the first leaf lettuces this morning. Cleaned-spun dry-and ready for chicken salad later today.

Am still pulling floor strips and staples. Getting more than ready to pull the house together. Fun find- with the carpet gone, the massive pocket doors between the library and living room roll nicely. Haven't used them in 20 years, and had forgotten just how lovely they look in this old house.

Hammer and pry bar in hand...ta ta for now.

what did you find under the carpet? At one point you had speculated (hoped?) that it might be yellow pine? The pocket doors between library and living room sound lovely.

Yellow pine, it is. I'm thinking it's in good enough shape to have sanded and sealed.

Greetings Saturday Super-heros

Forgot to weigh today. I lost my glasses in my bed (dog was laying on them) so it interrupted my routine. By the time I found them I had to have coffee. But I sure found a lot of dust and other junk under the night stand.

Procrastination! I think I have mentioned the publisher New Harbinger publications that has a zillion self help books. I had ordered one about anxiety and now I get lots of emails from them. They have a number of publications on dealing with procrastination and anxiety which seems to be the cause. I saw one called "The Worrier's Guide to Overcoming Procrastination." I may order it if I get around to it. Also there was a title "50 Ways to Soothe Yourself Without Food". Yeah its all probably take a hot bath, phone a friend or whatever. I am skeptical.

Liz glad you and DH had fun with clay. Its not about the result - its the doing. My stuff isn't so good but I really enjoy the process. Something about the creative process really draws you in and keeps your mind off other stuff. My grandmother did some art therapy when she was in late AZ disease and they are wonderful.

Whew this week has been filled with art gallery drama. People arguing about votes, preparation for an updated computer system, changing bank signature cards, missing checks, changing log in for banks, and on and on. Seems like all this stuff lands on me due to my business background. Whine Whine Whine. Gotta find a way to step back for a bit.

Buzz the Cupcake continues to be fun. It has a free trial of a Sirius radio which will no doubt addict me. Buzz has its first bird poop blemish. This afternoon will be dedicated to listening to a friend vent about some recent family trip stuff. We will go to the studio so I can listen but keep my hands busy.

Ann congrats to the newly pinned RN. Many of my mom's care givers were CNA's who were working toward RN status. They were so excellent. It truly is a calling for some.

Gallery duty yesterday was better than expected. Quite a few visitors and decent sales. As the treasurer I am responsible for giving financial updates and I think they all think I am miss doom and gloom as I report drops in sales. We are still doing fine but its amazing how little understanding of numbers some people have. Peps, teach those kids some math! And hey Peps, think about the Lost Coast Kennel Club Dog shows up here. Cool weather in July!

Well time for coffee #2 and to make a list of stuff I won't get done today. Diane S

Given his challenges, it may cheer him up a bit temporarily to be "better" at something than you. So maybe don't pick anything too simple So glad he had fun with the sculpting! What a great group to have found!

Weight? Still not sure, but I might ask a friend to bring my scale downstairs. I'm getting weird wrinkles on my arms that make me wonder if I'm dropping too much unintentionally. Such a foreign problem to have!

My wee issues seem to be improving. I am only having accidents at like 4am now. It's a challenge to "hold it" at other times of the day, but I'm winning those battles at the moment. Hooray for healing!

I'm getting well over 100g of protein and started iron pills today that should help with healing and energy too. I contacted the dog sitter and let her know I wasn't bouncing back as fast as I thought and could she keep Ferg a few extra days. She was very nice about it and will even go buy more of his food so he doesn't get tummy upset trying something new.

I woke up just in time to start to watch the wedding guest arrivals and watched straight through to the end. Lots of fun, even texting with my friends at 3am! I'm ashamed to have thought about Oprah's weight. You're right, that was wrong. I've been in her shoes and would be mortified if strangers were judging me.

Getting better each day. I wi**** was faster, but it is happening, soI need to be patient!

I disagree about the Oprah thing. She has championed herself on so many different levels regarding weight and body composition. It is virtually impossible to look at the woman and not take note of her weight and form some type of opinion about her current weight. She is someone for whom I have lost a great deal of respect in the area of obesity. I think she has done more harm than good in this area.

Stepping off the soap box now....
