Weight 116.2, calories 675. Yesterday was a slow day and I didn't do anything much other than get my hair cut. Aftermath of more wine than I needed. I'm staying away from that stuff!
I found a friend to take the sunfish sailboat. They are going to get it when we aren't here. I don't think DH will notice it's absence. As I mentioned, we have another friend willing to take the day sailer and moor it (and take DH out on it periodically). I need to have him in the right frame of mind to have that discussion as he would notice if that one left the yard.
Today we go to Boston for DDs clinical trial appointment, then to a New Balance outlet to get DD new sneakers. We left his incredibly ugly huge brown ones in Florida. If he likes what we get today, I'll have some shipped to Florida when we get there and dump the brown ones. He bought the brown ones a couple of years ago to replace the worn out white ones (went without me). He never threw out the worn out ones and came home with these orthopedic looking things!
That will take up most of the day, so we will just walk with Justice (and maybe Chiquita) when we get back.
Have a thoroughbred Thursday!

Good morning,
Liz, I am greatly amused by your DD's brown sneaker horror. :)
I enjoyed the University of WA campus visit. Their student tour guides and admission rep were charming. Their message was on point. I think DD should pursue a Starbucks career (whi*****ludes a free on-line degree thru Arizona) I should retire, become a student for my second act and live in the full service dorms. I'll start in Sept.
(If only retirement homes could replicate that campus experience.....maybe they are trying to but they are missing the mark)
DianeS, yet another hoodoo from the conference (hoodoo has become a new favorite word): The speaker of the section on Marijuana was a fancy cardiologist whose undergrad degree was from Humboldt! "Of course, the speaker of this topic went to Humboldt." She said she didn't inhale and it seemed important to her that we believe it. Now she lives in Portland which also seems fitting.
Did a short hike yesterday. It is considered a training hike and indeed it was FULL of Mt Rainier training peeps carrying heavy loads. In contrast, I didn't suffer and I give full credit to 1) light pack and 2) 8 months of my gym workout.
Speaking of gym work out, better get a move on.
Go find some recess. Except Cecily, get some rest girl! Shel

Obviously, I've missed part of the conference-weed discussion. Very confusing- How does this "not inhaling" work? I am a product of the 70's university experience, and I thought the goal was to suck the stuff as deeply into the lungs as possible.? Hmmmmmmmmmm......

Happy birthday Paula!!
Liz I cannot believe you keep your calories so low. I probably lapped you twice yesterday. Maybe more.
Weight unknown. I do feel heavy. The calories are finally catching up with me. And I do feel like I was trying to eat better yesterday. I guess the combination of being on vacation and having the slow time to eat all day is not good! It's mostly the snacking problem for me right now. During pregnancy that was okay, if not encouraged. And prior to becoming pregnant that was my #1 problem but between work to distract me and phentermine to keep me full (okay, mostly the appetite suppressant!!) I was able to lose the weight.
Monday-breakfast was a couple granola bars, lunch I had an appetizer eggroll and then ribs but could barely touch them because upset stomach. Dinner was 2 slices pepperoni pizza (yeah, not the best for upset stomach!)
Tuesday we had the just crack an egg and a piece of toast with coffee. Lunch was at Margaritaville-ahi kale salad and a marg, obvi. Then we walked the boardwalk in Hollywood florida for awhile. I got at least 5,000 steps that day. That's much more than usual for me, I ashamed to admit to Shel and Carbon! Dinner we made chicken tacos and rice but I only had half a taco. But there was wine and some m&m's. Darned those M&M's!
Wednesday I had cereal and later a granola bar for breakfast. Lunch was half a cheeseburger but I did opt for just a diet coke. Snack was some light popcorn and beef jerky. And for dinner I baked sweet potatoes with butter and sugar, roasted salmon, and steamed broccoli. Plus wine :) My portion was small but I was ravenously hungry before bed so rather than just down another glass of wine, I went for cereal. Probably not my best option.
We have another full week here, though this is our last full day in Miami. Becca has been a perfect angel. Vacationing with such a new baby is definitely slower. But doable.
Some days I can do the low calories, but others not so much. I certainly don't on vacation and even when living in Florida I kept finding myself in the vacation mindset. I can't stay that low for long though - yesterday was particularly low as I was actually hung over from the wine. That hasn't happened in more years than I can remember, so I am swearing off the stuff (other than 1 glass very occasionally).

Roasted salmon? Real, fresh, roasted salmon? Unheard of here in the "interior". Oh, yum, YUM!

You know that if/when you have a second child you are in for such a big surprise, right? You are being so beautifully spoiled by your wonderful baby girl, that you might as well understand payback is a *****! I have the perfect name for your #2 ..... Hellraiser Hand! LOL!
You truly are blessed to have such a delightful little angel!
