Greetings Sparkly Ones
Reminds me of when we asked our young niece what her favorite color was and she said "sparkly".
I think I weighed 148 today. Didn't have my glasses and went back to bed. Yesterday was fairly productive and step-filled. Today our new car may arrive. I haven't had a brand new car in 20 years. The electrician installed the charge station yesterday. Added a 240 breaker. I am not supposed to roast a turkey and charge at the same time or something like that. Fat chance I will roast a turkey any time soon. Like ever.
Liz, glad DD has the MBA program. And glad for the pounds lost. Seems like the best I ever did losing weight pre wls was changing habits. No soda, no french fries and the only evening food was fruit, glass or milk or something healthy; no chips or cookies. Hey guess what, those habits could be good these days too. Its kind of what I do.
Good thoughts on addiction but as I said before, I'll get back to you on the answers. Dr. C doesn't think food is really a true addiction but I think he is wrong. He probably doesn't know what its like to stuff yourself to the point of feeling sick day after day.
Paula, so good you are scheduling this family time. Getting together and facing all this stuff is so good. It won't be easy but so worth it. Some families tend to scatter and shatter when times are tough and I am so glad thats not yours. We are here.
No hugs Cecily for now but hope you are resting comfortably. Wow, 11 pounds of skin! How much easier it will be to not cary that around! Did I spy that you had inner thigh work done? That is something I would like as mine are sort of like lava lamps. Anyway, wishing you an uneventful recovery.
Old dog Chip didn't seem to want to go for a walk today with DH and Tesla so he stayed home. Not sure if its too much for him or what. Might have to take him in and check it out.
I made Popeye Pie last night. Always appreciated and full of protein. A good way to get DH to eat spinach. I had some home raised eggs and the yolks are as orange as traffic cones.
As Shel says, go sparkle. Diane S
Hey cool. About 30 years ago I had my outer thighs sucked out as I had those terrible saddle bags. Its been great all these years. But when I put on more weight it came back on my inner thighs and so now they are seriously blobby plus a few pounds back on are there. When I walk my thighs sort of waddle around like bags of water and I think it makes my legs hurt. Hence the interest in inner thigh work.
All the best. Rest up. DS
