You can count your before-pee and after-pee as one number for your nighttime duration. So, as long as you are going back to bed hopefully you have better duration.
Another tidbit from the conference.....people that say they have to get up and pee frequently have underlying sleep apnea. It wakes them up but they think "Oh, I am awake because I have to pee." You don't have to have the dramatic bolting awake/snoring as symptoms. That said, I'm not saying you have sleep apnea.....just tidbits of info.
By the way, I had sleep apnea before I lost all my weight. I had to have a repeat sleep study to prove to my sleep doc that I no longer needed cpap.
The blood pressure effects of Vyvanse will be washed out in 7 days for sure. (Brain chemistry/sleep patterns will take longer)

Have you tried mozzarella sticks wrapped in prosciutto? Someone on the RNY thread kept including them in her meals, so I bought some a few months ago. Very high protein and very filling! I keep them on hand now for snacks (they are one of the treats I'm using to keep my calories low right now).

Late check in...better make it quick so I get to bed so I don't have heart disease in 10 years!
I got home last night. Last weight was about 10 days ago so I got on the scale today, willing to accept an ugly weight to get a number.
I got on the scale even tho I ate MORE THAN NEEDED yesterday, mostly a whole lotta cheese. So calories and salt. Also, there is something about feeling full, that makes me think I might as well eat the chocolate than came with the cheese platter. Why not?
But, my ugly weight was 2/10th's less than when I last weighed. So, all balanced out and it is possible that it might drop a bit more as sodium weight drops off.
On this trip, I had less angst about organizing food when traveling for work and by myself. Those situations no longer feel grossly out of my safe zone. But, the truth is, a lot success comes from simple avoidance.
As I nitpick my "performance" (as if every meal needs an evaluation) I gave up networking opportunities because I didn't approve of the available food. I would scan the food, not find anything reasonable, then go to my room where I had food that met my needs. Not for every meal, but for the majority.
I have never liked networking, but I also think this whole food thing is another facet of disordered thinking about food. Balance is needed; I am a work in progress.
By the way, others also expressed amazement of poor available food choices, so I wasn't entirely off base in my assessment. Sometimes there were tables of giant muffins/quick breads/croissants with a few mystery snack bars tossed in as decoration. (I don't eat snack bars, so I didn't even look at macros)
Someone asked about vegan guy's protein powder--- he gets it from legumes/nuts. He said most people gradually transition to vegetarianism/veganism over a long period of time so they don't have to figure it out all at once.
He also said that even vegans aren't immune to the lure of processed foods. (Oreos are a vegan food and so is sugar) He had data that vegans (and maybe vegetarians) are generally more likely to be at a healthy BMI than the rest of us but all those health benefits are out the window if the diet is loaded with processed food/sugar.
Have a great night! Shel
