Weight is holding. That makes me feel good somehow. I'm "maintaining" in a sense.
Well, sadly I created my client list. I was actually surprised by the number of dogs I groom regularly. Shee****alk about an eye opener. It is no wonder that I often feel trapped by my trimming "career"! LOL! So, yesterday, I let my first client go. I will trim the dog one more time in July and then set him free. The owner was very kind about it. I'm sure others will be less so, but it's what I have to do. I figured out criteria for getting rid of clients and keeping. I know it's cheesy, but I figure I can get rid of my clients who choose not to tip. I have several who tip generously and others who have plenty of money (trips to Europe, homes in various states, etc...) who NEVER leave an extra penny. I have one client who if he does not have the exact amount will always ask for change OR better yet, ask if he can give me the rest the next time around. (Otherwise, I like the guy a lot. He's just frugal, I guess.) Anyway, I'm hoping to get the load down fromn 40+ dogs to just around 30 to start. Then, I will have to see where that leaves me. I may need to go as low as 20.
I am feeling less tired today than yesterday, but still more tired than I feel I should be. Heck, two nights in a row I've been in bed before 11 pm, which for me is unheard of! I did wake up twice to use the loo and once I sat bolt upright because I think I was clenching my teeth. I heard an horrific sound and felt a rumble in the front of my mouth. I'm sure I was grinding with such force that when my jaw slipped I awakened. YUCKO !!!!!
Award reception for Ron today at the county office of Ed. Hope it is fun. Tomorrow going to the traveling version of The Price is Right. About 15 teachers from my site are going to support our science teacher who has the Price is Right on his bucket list. We are wearing super teacher capes. I am debating as to whether I wish to sign up to participate or just be an audience member. Hmmm..... I don't know any of the games.
That's it for now... Peace.... Have a fun weekend, all!
Hey Peps, Good for you on thinning your client list. I used to make custom sculptures and decided not to do it anymore. Your clients might be happier if you could refer them to another groomer.
And I have to take Tesla to the groomer for her nails as she is so naughty. She behaves better when I am out of sight. And I tip the groomer as I consider it "combat pay".
My DH wears a little mouth guard as he grinds his teeth. From time to time I have dreams of walking and climbing and being in pain and wake up clenching leg muscles!!! Go figure. Diane S
