Badda boom! Now there's a new pre-cruise weight number that I like. :)
BTW, I have GOT to learn how to do online banking! When I get back home I'm going down to the bank and have the kids teach me how it's done. You'd think I'd already be cool like that. But noooo.
Good yoga class yesterday, but lordy! Missing yoga class for almost two weeks is how to wake up sore the next morning. I'm looking forward to daily yoga or stretch classes on the ship.
And now the actual packing begins. I also have a dental cleaning this morning (rescheduled from January) and a pedicure this afternoon.
Today's continuing theme: Do the next right thing.

Good morning! Yes, online banking is great - I deposited several checks while in Florida to my bank on Cape Cod. AND if you ever need to exchange funds with family, friends or contractors, I use an app called VENMO (my kids told me about it). You link your bank account to it, so you can send someone money out of your account or accept money from others and transfer it to/from your account (they just see you via the app, not your account).
Weight 117.2, calories 883. I stayed on plan yesterday and plan to do so the remainder of the week at least to settle back into comfortable mid-weight range. I have my class reunion on Saturday.
We are leaving in less than 3 hours and are mostly packed. I also turned off my internet - should have done it for tomorrow instead (whoops), so I'm using my phone connection. It will be a long day of travel for DH and Justice as we probably won't be home until about 9:30 pm. And it will be a different home for him! He won't eat this morning, so maybe he senses the change coming.
Have a whopping Wednesday!

Online banking is the best ! I couldn't live without it. I have not yet tried deposits, however. Ann and Liz, safe travels ! Cecily, closet sounds like a great adventure ! BB ... Yes the decision about resuming a career is very personal. You are in a phase of life (extending 18+ years) I found I constantly worked to push down guilt....not giving 150% to my career when I was home and not giving 175% to my girls when I was at work. You'll figure it out and make your choice work. Paula, my heart aches for you and your family. TPN is no fun, but I got to where I could change my own bag. Diane ...the holistic ointment is providing my knees, fingers and wrists with relief from pain and stiffness. A reputable dispensary will work with you to identify the ratio intended to maximize your individual pain.
We hiked the Anza Borrego Desert yesterday (pictures on Facebook). The trail was very tame and elevation only changed 400 ish feet. We adjusted our pace to make it more of a challenge. It was very warm and dry, and we drank every bottle of water we carried. We didn't encounter and of the famous sheep (or rattle snakes !) but it was a fabulous outing.... Well worth the two hour drive each way. Hearing that it is still snowy and icy at home, so enjoying the outdoors and beach today, before flying home tomorrow.

I don't often comment on Facebook in general, and especially not on appearance but YOU LOOK FABULOUS! So, healthy! So fit! That's my favorite sort of NSV.
Yes, a good hike is always worth 4 hours round trip.
I thought about going to Death Valley as a side trip to my Vegas conference but then listened to a podcast about an experienced solo hiker that went out for a day of hiking and never returned. So, another time, and likely with a group.

Hi David! So glad to "see" you. Where's Momsy? Haven't seen Carbon in forever.
I have a tummy ache this morning. Probably from too many sweets last night. Yesterday was a trying day with Nugget. She didn't want to be put down and any time she'd fall asleep I'd try to put her down and she'd wake right back up. I was finally able to get a shower but heard her cries (she had been asleep) midway through shampoo. It's a terrible excuse, but then when she didn't sleep well either, I hit the girl scout cookies hard. Over the night I had 6 thin mints and 1 chewy granola bar. Trying not to consider today a "loss" already. That's my old way of thinking. In fact, my old way of thinking would decide I'd plan for a much better diet come next Monday, and in the meantime food funeral all the way.
Liz-that's such an exciting life to me! Having a winter home and a summer home!
Ann-your travels make me crave more travels of my own!
Oh, you made me chuckle - 6 thin mint****ting it hard! Remember the days when you could eat a sleeve or two of those darned cookies? LOL! Anyhow, just so you know, 6 thin mints would not be considered hitting it hard for me. I would consider that moderation if I was truly in a stressed eating mode. It is all relative.
A day is never a loss! (I know EXACTLY what you mean by that!!!! It's the throw in the towel, WTF just eat it attitude that comes with overdoing it when we are in black and white thinking mode.) If you can brush your teeth, take a little nap with Nugget at your side (yes, that's okay...says the German man...), and reset as best you can. If you can't or aren't able to manage, then give yourself permission to be okay with what happened. You are a NEW MOM. This is new, uncharted, extremely stressful territory! Trial by error (or fire) has no better definition, IMO!
Hello All!
Paula, strength to you gurl! And maybe Reese Peanut Butter. But, you didn't hear me say that. Just a wee bit of typing. Prayers of peace for you, Ben and family.
David, glad that the test showed promise! My daughter dabbles in henna tattoos. She does them on herself and friends. So far, not on me.
BB, I agree with the others about back to work. You do you. And you can always change your mind or adjust to new cir****tances. I'll just throw out there that for a long time I worked a "late" day on Wed which gave me opportunity to volunteer in my daughter's classroom on a weekly basis. I highly recommend....I had a much better pulse on the elementary school years.
oh....my 9am meeting about to start... more later

Ann, online banking is really easy! I don't know how I'd do without it as my bank doesn't have a branch within 4 hours of my MI house.
Liz, best wishes for your trip home. Hope it's uneventful with DH and DJ (dear Justice).
David, that's encouraging about the back treatment! I feel the same way about tattoos. There's nothing I want to carry with me forever and watch droop/wrinkle with time.
BB, maybe you and the baby both picked up a tummy bug?
Diane, Anza Borrego is beautiful when we get a superbloom (lots of rain followed by lots of flowers). We had one last year. You're right about it being dehydrating out there! Next time you come to CA, I hope we can get together. Safe trip back!
Pilates and Painting today. Can you imagine a class that incorporates both? Sounds messy.
Happy Wednesday!
