Hey Peps, good to have a sense that change is coming. For the good. It could be:
A Best in Show Owner Handled
Lottery win
Win the Publishers Clearing house
That poopy hotel feels so bad it offers you free stays for life with a pit bull to guard your van
You are awarded a teaching sabbatical and have a semester to do as you please
You accidently keep losing weight
Your blog takes off and you get ad money
You continue to create curious and thoughtful little minds.
All of the above. DS
What a great list, Diane!
Devon, I think Diane might be your fairy godmother. :)

Hi Linda!
Request accepted. Diane S. sent me your email, but I have been crazy busy (yeah, that's still the same! However, I did get through 17 puppies without gaining weight! I put the weight on with the advent of the new school year, new schedule, 3 new curricula, and a host of other wonderful stressful additions to my school life!). So, please PM me with your info and I will get back to you tonight. I actually have an evening of little responsibility tonight and I'm very much looking forward to the reprieve from responsibility!
XO,
Devon
137.6. My lowest since the dreaded regain. Not sure why. I ate one protein bar, lot of Cheetos, one Milano cookie, a handful of Ghirardelli chips and 2 Thin Addictions biscotti packages. Ham and asparagus egg bake for dinner. The sugar content on MFP would not be good today!
Shi+ is getting real with Ben's decline. If you didn't see on Caring Bridge, he is now the (not so proud) owner of an ostomy bag. Apparently a fistula (tube) has developed probably where his previous feeding tube was and now contents from his small intestine are spilling out the tumor on his belly. The bag will catch all the yuck. We met with his oncologist today and he will be one of the cases the team discusses at their weekly Tumor Board meeting. For now chemo will be stopped. He might get radiation or might get a different chemo based on the tumor biopsy testing that is currently being done. Those results should be back in the next 1 1/2 - 2 weeks. If nothing seems it will work we will quickly move from palliative care to hospice. He might be put on TPN (IV) nutrition as well. I knew it was coming but now that it is here it seems to be moving too fast. I don't think he is going to make all of his goals.
I won't go to my scrapbooking weekend on Thursday but perhaps after we see oncology again on Friday if Ben is feeling comfortable with ostomy care. If not, I'm okay staying home too!
Oh Paula. Strength to you, Ben and your family. I know you are strong but it is so hard.
