Greetings Reeces Peeps

Yep, Reeces is its own food group. My bank has a candy jar of assorted halloween-type candy but I only eat one if there is a Reeces.

147.5 today (including the heavy socks). Yesterday's tea at the art gallery wasn't too bad food wise. I ate no cookies but did raid the trail mix. But far too much sitting around. If sitting is the new smoking then I am three packs a day. Wish I could catch the hiking fever. Rain has stopped and DH is on yet another trip to the hardware store. He is a hardware store recidivist.

Hey Ann, so you have one of those heavily scheduled day! I find that getting through those makes the down time so much more sweet! Good to see you back on the veggie train. Gotta make a veggie and coffee run myself today. Last night the only veggie I had for DH was celery and he acted like it was from outer space!!

Cecily, I am like you. When plans cancel its like a freebee - an extra day to do as I wish.

Hmmm, I am definitely an asymmetrical person. All my art is that way. Symetry makes me nervous like it might might get messed up or something. So why not do ears three and two. My ears are actually 1 and 0 as one grew back shut. Can't fathom a nose ring as my nose is drippy all the time.

Oh Paula I sure hope there is some help for Ben and the tumor thing. If anyone needs a recess or Reeces its you.

Well I have a long list of paperwork chores for the day which I will attack after more coffee. But what I really want to do is go to the studio and play in the clay. Will do that too.

Well, off to be asymmetrical. Cheers. Diane S

OMG, can't believe I misspelled Reeses. Like I haven't eaten 10 tons of them in my life. DS

Up a little. Very hungry day yesterday. It's like my body says "hey, there's someone else to hold the baby. EAT."

We had such a good weekend. Definitely need to focus on the positive. There are so many wonderful things going on. I don't need to force the bad. I do feel bad for DH having to get up and go to work and try to get things accomplished. The tension at his office is unbelievable, as you can imagine. DH is more stressed than me, but I am coming to terms with whatever. It's more just sad now. Even if he's offered to stay, things have changed and that chapter has closed. But I have to hope that there are bigger and better things ahead!

We had a lot of errands yesterday. And just as we were about to sit down and relax, DSD came by pleading for help checking her college paper. So of course we did! Sometimes older babies need attention too!

Oh, and Rebecca slept from 10-5!! 7 hours under her belt again. That's 4 nights in a row of 5+ hours, 2 of which were 7!!!! Hoping this is for real (and knocking on wood furiously as I type this!)

A long and tiring weekend of very successful dog shows came to an end yesterday. I came home and slept for 3.5 hours and had no trouble getting to sleep last night after such a long nap. Tired I was!

Let's see...good or not so good first... Let's go with not so good... 2nd year in a row my van was burgled in the hotel parking lot. Guess who won't be staying in that hotel again???? Anyway, nothing of real value, but the ******** took all my school stuff on the front seat! My lesson plan book, my record book (grades, contact info, etc...), and 3 pieces of student writing from every student. The lost writing is the only thing that really bothers me. The kids worked really hard on their 2 essays and 1 graphic novel! Everything else I can "replace", but not the student work.

Now for the good! Lucky and Dottie kicked some dog show butt! Both pups got the highest points possible in any AKC show. Both pups got 5 point majors - very hard to come by and very rare for 8 month old puppies to be recipients of such awards. Lucky got pulled from further showing after his win for fear that he would end up finishing his championship this weekend. (That would eliminate his eligibility for the Nationals in October as a class dog. The goal is to try to finish him (his championship) over the Montgomery weekend this year.) Dottie will be my show project for now along with her "uncle Ace". Lucky won' t be shown again until late September.

Second good thing: I came back from the dog show weighing 2 pounds less than when I left. Also somewhat unheard of for me. I did not over do and being on my feet for 12-14 hours 5 days in a row seemed to help balance out why I did eat! LOL! Also, on this vein, one of my new "Executive cut" suits was way too big. I swear the guy gave me the wrong size. Several of my friends suggested I have the jacket taken in. Oh well, at least I was not uncomfortable in my

Wednesday is scheduled D day. (I don't wanna! I don't wanna! BUT.... I gotta, I gotta, I gotta!)

I still have not finished taxes, so I have to finish up tonight since tomorrow is the absolute deadline! Also have to get my bills paid. I feel like the creditors are knocking on my door. (Not really, but I get text messages telling me that "...your payment is due." or, "...your payment was due yesterday. please take a moment to pay your delinquent bill today.", etc...)

Still have not written my client list down on paper. Y'all have to bug me about that! I promise I will not lie and say I have done it when I haven't.

Till tomorrow!

That sucks about your van and all of your school things! I hope karma strikes them in the gonads in the near future.

Congratulations to you and the puppies!! That's awesome

Maybe those kids had copies (that would be nice)? That stinks that your van was broken into. So exciting about the pups though. They are truly beautiful!

Nice going Peps! I bet you lost that weight because you had to gait your winning dogs around the ring so many times!! DS
