Crazy weather with the snow and ice! Massachusetts is supposed to get ice today. We are getting thunderstorms this afternoon which should reduce the excessive humidity we have right now. Our last couple of days are supposed to be decent.
Thanks for the advice - It makes sense that I should tell SIL what my needs are. She has a history of always deferring to others and I guess that is what she has been doing. So I need to explicitly ask for help in planning at least meals half the time and some activities. I guess I was just hoping she would offer without being asked (I hate asking for help).

Greetings Sunday Svelt Ones
Oh goodie, checking in here on the late side means loads of fun stuff to read. Thank you Liz for so often starting. Always good thoughts. As for your SIL, some people are just passive. Some also think they are being polite by deferring to the wishes of others. I suggest you just say to her " help me out tonight by doing planning as I am pretty tired right now". My DH is like that - expecting me to do all planning and reservations etc. I finally told him for trips to his family he needs to do this stuff and he has. I too am usually the "planner in chief" so I know it helps to speak up.
Weight 147 today. Have to attend an art event which will likely have evil food. Yeah, I know food shouldn't be categorized as good or bad but lets get real....
Hey I always love Shel's posts too (and everyone's) for the pharmacy stories and other insight. Well, Mr. Wifi might well benefit from those alternative things if he believes them. And glad you had a Reiki talk at your event. Well worth exploring.
Its pouring rain here today which would be a foot of snow if it were cold enough. Paula I am so sorry you have so much white stuff but at least its Sunday and you can stay home, I hope.
And while my dogs do not have wardrobes, they do have a car which holds crates and has 4 wheel drive when we go to their breeder who lives on an impossibly bad and steep road. They also pretty much have a whole house and yard and a fancy king sized bed that is adjustable which they begrudgingly share with us.
Glad you had fun in the Big Easy Ann. Yep, no place like NOLA. Have not been there in many years. I have been perusing cruise magazines lately and we are overdue for fun. But a new car is mission one. Fortunately DH loves to research such stuff. He has been busy converting all our lights into LED bulbs which means some new fixtures so the house is now littered with old lamps. Where does all this debris come from??
Yay Bonnie, baby slept 7 hours. Hope that keeps up. And I hope everyone gets good sleep as its mission critical. Ann, powerful emotions can indeed tire you out as much as climbing a mountain but I don't need to tell you to get sleep.
Diane O, have fun at Torrey Pines. Never been there. Gotta add it to my list.
Have a peaceful restful day all. And an extra cup of coffee. Diane S
