Weight 117.8, calories 1792. Too many calories again! But I danced a lot with DH at the last dance of the season at our clubhouse last night.

We are leaving in less than an hour to take a day trip on a boat to Cabbage Key. Hopefully we will see dolphins. It is supposed to be a hot sunny day so much sunscreen will be used.

Have a satisfying Saturday!

Happy Saturday!

Well, I should be digging into taxes, but, there are hours left to do that. No hurry!

People in Tornado-land, let us know you are ok!

Liz, enjoy those final beautiful hours in Florida before returning to many beautiful hours on Cape Cod. Paula, hugs to you and your family. Hope your mom is nicely recovering, in particular, and that Ben is catching some sort of break.

I checked temperatures at Bryce Canyon in last couple of days-- the low was in the teens and highs in mid 30's. I would type LOL but that isn't really what came out of my mouth. I will arrive in one week. Looks like they are on a warming trend with highs in the 50's-60's but lows always around freezing. Usually I am a person who can get by with a carry on, but I am going to pull out our biggest suitcase to check. I want to have All My Clothes for hiking and then a few minimal things for the conference.

Find some time for recess. (Or, if you are like me, take a break from recess and get taxes done.).

Tornadoes did not form in my area. I slept like a baby through the whole thing.

Weight 166.2

Today's weight is brought to you by too much food two days ago (true) or too much salt yesterday. Or both. When I was a little kid and they would say on Sesame Street that the show was "brought to you by the letter C" I thought they were saying "brock to you by". I still hear it that way in my head.

The closet builder is coming by to get a deposit for my new closet and I am going to clean my garage as Salvation Army us coming on the 1st to pick up a load. Not a fun day, but a good one.

Here's my latest painting and the lizard who has taken up residence in my garage.....

Happy Saturday! Hope it's filled with dolphins and completed tax forms!

He great painting Cecily. Gallery quality.

We used to have a little salamander that lived in our garage. That is until one day the garage door came down ........

Wow, thanks!

Two salamander halves aren't nearly as useful as a whole salamander...

Well it wasn't halves. More like flattened. Gross. DS

PS: The lizard showed his full self and he's well over a foot long! Ew. An alligator lizard... I used it as an excuse not to clean the garage. What if he has friends or family in there?

I could so get used to a clockless exsistance ! 17,689 steps yesterday and it is working well to have our big meal mid-day. I got some cottage cheese, hard boiled eggs, and Sargento Balanced Breaks to augment left overs for supper. Found an REI where I purchased some great walking capris and tops that called to me. Having iced coffee, watching the surfers outside our living room.

Greetings Faithful Ones

Well its the die-hards here this am. Still at 147.5. I am eating too much of the wrong things. Gotta step up the protein. Last night's dinner was tomato soup which was not high calorie but lacking in protein. There really is something to this "protein first" thing and I am not getting enough. I have been worried about getting more veggies in but tomato soup doesn't really cut it as a veggie.

Well at least my taxes are in and paid. Someone has to pay for our latest war. I am a peace-nick. Shel, my sympathies. Tax prep bites but really bites at the last minute. Good on you for taking all your hiking stuff to the conference. I went to Bryce Canyon as a little kid but still remember how impressive it was. Also I was fascinated by the chipmunks.

Have fun at Cabbage Island Liz. Yep, slather on the sunscreen.

I should be doing some prep for our little art reception tomorrow but am likely to blow it off. Its a sunny calm day so dogs will get a walk. I will probably do some studio work; thereby avoiding household chores.

I had a weird dream while dozing this am - that we were driving around in some odd tiny clown car around a big city looking for somewhere to eat. Every place we found had nothing but cookies and pastries - not one single protein item anywhere. So we just kept moving on looking for protein until I woke up. Gee, what do you think that means!!??!!

Hey Cecily, give Fergie a big hug for being a good kid dog. Dogs just seem to understand about kids or those who are less able. Speaking of dogs, Devon is winning everything with his two at the big dog shows. Killer good.

Time for more coffee. Diane S

PS. has anyone tried bone broth - the store bought kind of course. It has more protein and I was wondering if there is any good kind?
