So glad to see Peps back here! To those who sometimes feel like they are not maintainers, I think you have a lot to offer this group and me personally and I'm glad you're here.
I had a nice hike today with my friend in Laguna Canyon. 17,000 steps. The wildflowers are peeking out right now. It's such a short season, it's really special when it's here!
Then there was this very unperturbed roadrunner.
And a (non-poisonous, but very fast) whipsnake that totally scared me and I jumped and ran and did not get a picture. Yuck.
Flowers are beautiful but I especially love the Roadrunner! Does he want food from hikers? We have some pretty aggressive jays that hang out at lunch rocks. I never, ever share because it is MY FOOD! But, if I was gonna share it might be with a road runner.
