138.8, up a hair. Funny that when I'm with my parents I want to eat more sweets/comfort food. It is that going back home feeling, even though it is my home and they are the ones visiting! Jelly bean and my awesome chocolate chip cookies were a calling! Tomorrow I will make my killer chocolate cheesecake for Easter Sunday. Next week I will get right back on track and try not to overdo these few days.
Short night last night. Lots of talking with boys - some of it easy (like fashion and make-up and plastic surgery and drag queens with DS #2, some of it hard (like stop fighting with your brother with DS's #1 and #3) and some of it really hard (like I'm sorry your Dad is dying and you don't feel like you have anyone to talk to about it - I'm here for you type of conversation with DS #3) It is hard to see a 6 foot 220 lb. 15 year old sob. A good reminder though that he is just a kid even though he looks and acts like a man most of the time! I so want to protect them from the hurt that is and the more hurt that is coming!
Liz, have fun at universal studios. I've never been!
Shel, you should be replacing your workout shoes every 6 months!!!!! 2 years is crazy, especially with your level of exercise!
Ann, I am sorry you were so overcome with grief. I'm getting hints of it already and can't imagine what it will be like when Ben is gone.
Diane O - I wonder why you started fretting over weight? Smart to look at the hard data and set your thinking straight!
Diane S - good for you for helping with the financials. That wouldn't be my first choice. I would rather do the cooking any day!
Cecily, happy hiking! Hug that big doggie.
Sorry if I forgot any of you!
Paula, please please know I am here for you -- at any time, during any phase, for anything.
I'll FB message you my phone numbers. Maybe again -- can't remember if I sent them already.
Love,
Ann

Thank you for giving me a (another) reason to shoe shop every 6 months! :)
I want to eat worse when my parents are staying with us, too. They don't encourage it at all. For years, their diet has been a lovely whole food, plant forward diet that is low on sugar. Despite knowing that, there I am with German Chocolate Cake because it is "Dad's favorite." In my defense, neither is overweight and they get lots of exercise. They NEED a piece of German Chocolate cake, occasionally, right?????
Your weight is doing so well. I bet you can feel some ease in your clothes. Please do enjoy your special treats, tho!
The conversation with DS2 does sound like a lot of fun, DS1 not so much and the one with DS3 is simply heart breaking.
Are you continuing to take care of you? Calling Ann would be part of that (I am bossy. Just ask DD.)

The grief is hard for you, but as you know you also have to help your boys. Please get support wherever you can. Ann obviously understands what you are going through and what is coming more than any of us. We all love you.
