Weight 117.8, calories 818. Interesting that weight is up a pound with calories down low...
We need to start getting ready for Easter. Some house cleaning, food purchase and food prep will happen today. DD arrives on Sunday. We bought our overpriced tickets for Universal in Orlando yesterday from AAA as we are going with DD Thursday and Friday of next week.
The last of the major Florida projects for the year was completed yesterday: garage door screens. Because the dominant wind flow is into the garage, having the screens allows us to leave the door into the house open and provides for much improved airflow through the place. Which is needed now unless I turn the AC on as it is getting warmer. A lot of people here have had their AC on for weeks, but I really don't like it (feel shut in), so I only turn it on when absolutely necessary.
I am sitting with Justice in my lap right now. Later I will cut a piece off her blanket and send it in a ziplock to DS to give to Chiquita at home to smell.
Have a generous Good Friday!

Good morning,
Liz, Such a good idea to pre-introduce the dogs to one another! Do you like going to Universal or have you been there so many times that you just don't care all that much? Is this the Harry Potter place?
Weighed for the first time since returning home from trip. As I walked naked to the scale, all my indiscretions flashed before my eyes. But, weight is the same. I'll restart MFP today (and change my password...)
I have mostly done better on sleep while on vacation. I'm going to try to keep that up for the month of April. I tend to fiddle around at night and go to bed later than I should.
I'm wearing new workout shoes....just like a little girl, I put on my new kicks as soon as I got up. My previous gym shoes were several years ago, bought long before weight loss. (I acutely remember trying them on in the New Balance store, feeling humiliated for even stepping foot into a New Balance store.)
This time, I went to a boutique store this time that takes a lot of time to find the right shoe so LOOK OUT, I'm going to be so stinkin' strong and fast, no one is going to recognize me.
Ann, I so enjoy hearing about the happenings on your property. Are the lady turkeys still parading? I see all of this in old time Disney colors. You look fabulous in Disney, by the way. DianeO, I'm looking forward to your trip to CA. Love the idea of an extended vacation like that. Paula, lay down on the floor and let those pups give you some love. DianeS, stick your hands in some clay. Cecily, enjoy the sun, that glowing orb in the sky I have heard so much about. Dave, Dave, tell us a baby story. BB, give that Lil Nugget a snuggle for all of us.
Fill your soul,
Shel

Hogwartz! I've been wanting to go there since I read the books and they opened it. We have only been to Universal once (for a day) about 10 years ago. DD has wanted to go back, so the 4 of us are going for 2 days (DH,DD,SIL and me).

I am fixating on weight again. This morning I felt unsettled that my weight was all over the place. I did a 7, 30 and 60 day report on MFP and my weight has been in a two pound range for 99% of the days. In trying to puzzle out the disconnect between fact and feelings, I discovered that there are eleven different weights from 136-138 when using a scale that measures in .2 increments. It occurred to me that most of my weighing history was not digital, and in full pounds. Eleven different results meant eleven pounds for the majority of my life. Some baggage is so ingrained for reasons that begin to make sense if we identify and address discrepancies between facts and feelings.
It is....wait for it... s n o w I n g here ! It shouldn't accumulate, so I'll suck it up and focus on the nourishment for the soil.
Nourish yourselves, my friends !

Greetings Easter Bunnies
Well the day of biting the heads off of chocolate bunnies is almost here. I will try to avoid that and for sure will not be eating any disgusting marshmallow peeps that I have always hated. No jelly beans either. There is no candy but chocolate and maybe toffee.
Lots to do today - gallery duty and I am taking over some of the finance stuff for the second gallery. One member is leaving - burnt out and just had a heart stent put in. I would rather do bank deposits than cook the food for arts night.
Didn't sleep well last night - up late. Played on line scrabble, watched "600 lb life" and ordered a book on iPad which I didn't start yet.
I'm with you Liz. I don't like air conditioning. In the midwest summers we were prisoners of air conditioning and thats one reason we left. Here we don't even have one or need it!
Well Shel, post a pic of the new shoes. I buy the same Rebocks over and over as so little fits me. I have been thinking of going to this one specialty shoe store to get some weird feet shoes. Wide toes, narrow heels.
We will do Easter at friends. I make the pate and cheese crisps. Last time there I ate too much and got the slimies. Note to self: don't do that. Should be an interesting time. Many of this group are somewhat older than us and now some are having some aging issues. One fabulous woman is showing signs of dementia and another man had a stroke and now has mobility issues and its wrecking his wife's health in caring for him. They don't have a lot of $$ so its rough.
More snow Diane O!!! Hoping indeed that it does not stick.
Cruise magazines are arriving. I am intrigued by one for Belgium and Switzerland (my ancestral origins-genetic fixation on chocolate and cheese). We shall see.
Weight still 146.5. I got a lot of steps in yesterday but forgot fitbit but I guess they still count.
Its cool and foggy here but no rain predicted. Hope that means I get gallery visitors today. If not, I will walk in circles and knock down the spider webs.
Peace all and hug babies of whatever sort is available. Diane S
Real fast drop-in here ... haven't even read any of yesterday's or today's posts and will catch up on that later (soon).
Yesterday (Thursday) sucked because Wednesday night I fell into a grief mud hole and got only 3 hours sleep. Thursday I spent most of the day in bed watching movies -- have not done that in YEARS! It wasn't awful.
I also ate a lot of sugary foods. As Liz said sometime in the last few weeks on a day that was rough for her, "If I wasn't talking there was a carb in my mouth" (or something like that).
Sleep last night, mercifully, was 10 hours! And I'm back up on the saddle. Weight this morning was 132.6. Could've been worse. Probably will be tomorrow, but not because I'm overeating today (I'm not) -- I often have a two-day lag when I overeat.
Actually, I did see DianeS's post about the MFP hack. That's the LAST data I agonize over anyone hacking about me -- what I ate and what I weighed on any specific day in the last four plus years. LOL! That truly does make me laugh out loud. Seriously -- what is the value to hackers of that information? Do they plan to blackmail people with it? "We will notify the Department of Motor Vehicles of your actual weight unless you immediately send us $500 via PayPal." So funny.
Catch you on the flip side.

Happily, my MFP password is ... yes, really ... password.
That's the password I use for sites that I wouldn't care about having everything i publish there posted on the front page of The New York Times. ;)
Happily, my real passwords for sites and apps that are even remotely private or financial or legal or cross-reference-able to other sites are pretty weird, and I keep a handwritten list of all those (nearly 30 of 'em) hidden in the house. One of my sisters knows where that list is.

I hiked last night and again this morning despite much grousing on my part about having to get up early to beat the heat. We went straight from winter to summer this week. Heading into the 80s today. It's a good thing I'm hiking a lot because I've been eating a lot too. Oops. I have no Easter plans, though, so this weekend will be like any other and not like a holiday foodfest. No hollow chocolate bunny ears for me.
The plastic surgeon's office called yesterday and moved my surgery day from May 10th to May 8th as they couldn't get the surgical team he wanted that day. So now 38 days to go. Eek!
Off to the grocery store now to buy healthy stuff in the hopes that having fresh food in the fridge will help stop my eating out.
Have a good day everyone!
