Weight 118.8 (arghhh), calories 2000 more or less. Breakfast with friends and later day eating while packing yesterday was not good. But the weight was prior to a productive bathroom visit.
We are on our way to the airport to fly to Boston for DH's clinical trial appointment. Eating will be sporadi****il tonight when we are going to a high end restaurant on the harbor with DS. So I'm not overly worried about weight settling down over the next few days.
Have a timely Tuesday!

There's nothing better than walking with great tunes and pure sunlight warming every nook and cranny of my soul !! Yesterday's 11,137 steps made all right with the world. I'm back on track, and grateful that being "off track" means catching myself stuffing feelings, not stuffing my face. Numerous times over the past few days most of us have mentioned an awareness of not making the preferred choice, but that our undesired choices now show so much improvement over our "go to behavior" of the past. Yeah us !!
Safe travels, Liz ! Shel, Diane & Paula... eager for updates ! Ann, looking for continued proof that Spring has sprung ! Still mounds of snow here, old and melting ! Dave, how goes it ? Cecily, hope the rain added sufficient moisture to the brush and hills. BB & Becca...enjoy your nuzzles !!!!

Good morning from cold, grey, rainy Seattle!
Good to be home. Final push home yesterday was epic: cold with rain, then more rain, then heaviest rain as we approached home.
DH seems in better spirits but still more *****ly than usual. DD is righteous. Dave, are you out there? On my agenda is to check out your Facebook share of a guy talking about teens. I already have the book in my Amazon cart.
Annie! Welcome! You have two dogs that both have two names! I like you already!
Travelher, speedy recovery! After LBL, I had swelling but kept contained in my compression wear. You are in compression wear, right? I can't even imagine if you aren't. Maybe like an over-ripe tomato? Have faith -- that swelling is temporary and all that will be left is fabulous you!
About Devon's Leave of Absence. Mostly, I embrace his explanation of my monkey-my zoo. I have frequently wondered, however, about if my own posts are sometimes offensive to those struggling with regain. I would like to think my body of work is supportive. But, a recent sign-off of "don't be a statistic," makes me wonder about individual posts.
I ate too much yesterday, triggered by fatigue and "this is my last day to vacation over-eat." Looking forward to dialing it back in.

I have my bariatric surgeon check up this morning. I would have liked to be on the lower end of my range for that, but I'm not. Oh well! The good news is the hernia surgery worked, which he's following up on so that's great news.
Have to hop in the shower now...
Sending out good day vibes to all!

Kind of a fun follow up. My surgeon is over the moon with my progress. He wants to put me on his website and Instagram (I'm not sure abiut that though!). I've lost over 92% of my excess weight. He was so shocked and fascinated by how much I can eat calorie-wise. He said most people end up around 1200 and he joked that when I die I should leave my body to science so they can figure out why I need to eat more than 1700 to not lose. Then I thought of Ann who eats that much and is smaller than me. We're post-wls medical marvels apparently...
Anyway, it was a really nice appointment!
Excellent! You are an inspiration!

And you went into the appt feeling bummed that you weren't a little lower! Instead, you are a poster-child of success! Good job!
It is so interesting how variable the results are.
And I am glad that my maintenance calories is >1200!!!!
Much to be grateful for today!

Yeah ... I always wonder about, i.e., doubt the veracity of, those WLS patients who Can Maintain Only While Eating 1,200 Calories!
I wonder how many of them are actually tracking what they are actually eating -- much less measuring how much they're eating?
Just goes to show that despite all my big talk I (like most people) really think everyone will thrive best if they do just what I do. ;)

No weight. We are back in WI. Ben is having his CT right now. Results tomorrow.
I did well with calories and overall good choices with a few exceptions while in Chicago. Some days were even less than 1,000 calories, one was right around 1,300 which was my high. The shopping day with they boys produced over 14,000 steps, the rest was meh. Ben was quite fatigued the whole trip and really struggled to do much. I'm not anticipating good news from the CT scan.
Nice to be home and even nicer to be loved up by my puppies. Emma followed me around for the first hour home. She is my baby girl!
Made the initial phone call with DS#1 to see if residential treatment is what might be best for him right now. They should call back in the next day or so for a phone interview. He seemed to do okay while we were gone and says he is feeling better on his new meds! That is a win!
I'll update you all after our appointment with oncology tomorrow.
