Good morning ! All is okay on the bug front ! No bugs are good, but the answer is..... weevils. Orkin thinks they initially arrived with some cat food. They are NOT upstairs where the kitchen is, and have now been treated in a pet safe way.

Sadie did well with the trainer yesterday and we'll resume school visits next week. She is checking in with me when she's unsure and I have to be vigilant about reinforcing that. I'm also going to ditch the retractable leash. Soon we'll be walking two dogs and a retractable would be unsafe. I've also realized our daily walks need to involve some degree of training.

The sun is expected the next few days ! Planning to soak some in and get those steps in !

Weight 117, calories 690, sleep caught up again after 9+ good hours.

Weevils? I never heard of an infestation of those! Many years ago, eldest DD came home to live temporarily after being in an apartment in Boston. She had some furniture she wanted to retain even though DH was worried about bugs in them (old Boston apartments are notoriously infested). They were in the garage for a few months. One day we noticed a couple of little black bugs in the kitchen when the light was turned on. DH stepped on one and brought it to the bug place and it was a ****roach! Luckily it was the first generation and apparently hadn't laid eggs yet so only one bug spraying was needed (and getting rid of the furniture). One of those stories that is amusing now but not at the time...

The weather is cool again here for late March in Florida. 45 now and a high of low 70s today, though it is supposed to warm again over the next few days. We were thinking of going to the beach on Boca Grande today but it might be too cool...

Justice is gaining energy daily - keeping him quiet for another 10 days is going to be a challenge (though he is good about sleeping in laps). The doggie airline carrier bag arrived yesterday and he did well for his first few minutes in it. My plan is to put him in daily (with treat rewards), gradually lengthening the time and taking him in the car periodically so that the trip home will be no big deal.

Have a flipping Friday!

139.6. Calories were 979 with C: 131 F: 29 P: 74. Will finish up packing this morning and when the boys get home from their 1/2 day at school we will take off for our Chicago jaunt. It is about a 3 hour drive or so. DS#1 will stay home, hope he will be okay. At first he was agreeable to looking into a residential treatment center but when it came time to make the call to the place yesterday for an intake interview, he back tracked. Hoping I can convince him otherwise after we get back home. He does say he is feeling a little better on his new meds and it appears he is actually taking them!

Puppies will go to the boarders while we are gone. Just can't trust DS#1 to care for them well enough. They seem to do fine there and are boarded with each other so they have company!

Diane, glad the bug problem sounds manageable and yay for Sadie and her continued training.

Liz, glad Justice is doing so well. I am just so happy for you and Paul. Enjoy the weather even if it is a bit colder than FL usually is.

Shel, continue to have fun on your trip. Keep the pictures coming!

Cecily, you have so many interesting hobbies! I can't remember, do you work outside the home as well?

BB and David, hugs those babies for us! I saw one of those Facebook surveys the other day and the first question what is your favorite smell. My answer would have to be freshly bathed baby smell with a close second being puppy breath!

Joey, keep on keepin' on!

Diane S - have a dance for us at the wedding (a piece of wedding cake too if it looks like it is worth the calories!)

Ann, enjoy your fruits and veggies today, maybe some yoga and of course Fika!

Devon, hug that pack for us - including the ones with two instead of 4 legs!

Puppy breath is the best! It's probably weird, but I also like how doggy feet smell like Fritos....

I'm lucky enough not to have to work right now. My days get filled with so much stuff, I'm not sure how I ever fit in a full time job! I do need to set up a new volunteer "job" though. I might find something in MI for the summer and definitely something when I get back.

I think doggies smell like popcorn when they first get up from a nap! I love to smell their ears.

Weight 165 (so much cheese and chocolate cake at knitting...)

After a walk with my friend in a little bit, Ferg and I are heading to my Dad's house for the weekend. We're going out for su****onight (one of their friend's brothers is a sushi chef and his creations are amazing! You don't order, he just sends stuff out). Then one of my parent's long time couple friends is coming out for dinner the next night. It'll be nice to see them! But lots of food this weekend. Must try to be "good" outside of the dinners to even things out.

No word from the doctor's office yet. Grrr. Or from the closet guy. Grrr again.

We did end up getting some rain yesterday. Not enough, but beggars can't be choosers.

Happy weekend to everyone!
