Good morning! I sit here with no coffee as I need to go get my blood drawn to check my white blood cell levels. My fingers are crossed for a number rebound!

Today is pilates, but painting doesn't start again until next week.

Other than that, life buzzes along. Hope all your lives are buzzing with good things.

Greetings Wednesday Wonders

Still at 147. Tomorrows trip will probably be a food orgy given the nature of SIL. Rehersal dinner is at an Italian restaurant. I don't even know if our hotel has a restaurant. Or a bar....

Well Shel, it was fun giving you a studio tour. It is indeed a super fun place and I don't know what I would do all day without it. Had to laugh about the lemon lavender cake. That little place is so eco - groovy its almost a caricature. But I go there for coffee. Hope you found some food at the equally groovy food coop. You could get a real apple there. Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Ann, we probably all should do those neck exercises. We have all spent too much time in the downward bobble head position. At least with this desk top I have to hold my head up to see through the proper part of trifocals.

Loads to do today since I have put off most trip preparations until this last minute.

Diane O , glad you are only getting a hint of that storm. Your southern cal trip will be a great break. And yuk on the bugs. Hope they get a one way ticket out.

Well dinner last night was a couple ounces of ham and thats it, due to an excess of almond eating earlier. Sure makes for easy dinner prep. DH is now down 27 pounds and it really shows. He is out for the daily dog walk between spells of rain.

Well, I'd better get busy. As soon as I down some more coffee. Diane S

Diane, I want you to know that, thanks to you, every morning when I'm prepping my first cup of coffee I think, "Ummm ... my first veggie of the day!" :) Thank you for that.

140.4. Calories 1,154. Macros too hard to get on my phone.

Worked today. Ben called his Oncologist about the growing number of skin tumors. He will have another CT next Tuesday, a few months early. This new development is making him a bit emotional. Poor guy.

Hope to get a massage tomorrow, do a little shopping a Kohl's and pack for the Chicago trip

More later

Oh, Paula! I really hurt for you guys.

Based on my husband's and my experience during those times I encourage you both not to "tough it out" or do the stiff upper lip thing -- at least not all the time. Feel what you feel and tell each other how you're feeling and (as my husband used to say) "listen louder" to each other.

This next bit is purely my opinion, and it's based only on MY feelz and might not apply to y'all, but here goes anyway: There's not a more appropriate time to be your most authentic selves. To ask each other questions you've wondered about. And maybe to answer questions you wish your partner would ask. It's such a delicate dance. And there will be missteps. But it's a dance you don't want to miss.

Great advice Ann. Ben has never been one to talk about feelings, concerns, etc. so it may be hard to get that out of him now, but that doesn't mean I can't initiate conversation. He did break down a bit yesterday which is very odd for him. At first I thought it was because he was feeling guilty because he can't do as much around the house/help cook dinner etc. and then I thought that maybe he was getting afraid but he is simply sad and that is 100% understandable. I think I will have to try to gently coax "the feels" out of him.

I was wondering how Ben was doing from an emotional standpoint with tangible evidence appearing.

It makes me angry that C shamelessly flouts itself, with no sense of decency.
