Love, love LOVE this! You are amazing, back to that weight already!
On the feeding front... Our 2 youngest were adopted as newborns. There is a contingent who says you can breastfeed an adopted infant with devices and supplementation. I looked into it because I had breastfed my eldest and even bought this weird supplementation device. I decided to ditch the thought of trying with the adopted ones as I felt the likely issues and guilt would not be good. They are perfectly healthy and we bonded the same way (if you always hold them during feeding and don't prop the bottle, they still get all that snuggly closeness).

Yes I have looked into a supplemental nursing system and am considering it. I want to think maybe the LC was wrong and the SNS has the benefit of trying to get my own supply up.
I guess I'm just torn about how much I want to buy into the advantage. I do think there's an advantage, but I don't want to go any further down the rabbit hole of feeling guilty. There are so many things that we aren't in control of. C section versus vaginal delivery, for example. And I think all moms are doing their best. But I haven't quite decided what "my best" I'm satisfied with yet. I realize it'll be different for everyone.
And I just was venting to a friend and she reassured me either is okay. She and her husband were both adopted and so were formula fed. Both very bright, etc.
At the end of the day what is important is that you love that child more than anything in the world (check). As mothers we all seem to be really good about feeling guilty about measuring up in our own minds, but if Rebecca feels loved and well taken care of she will be fine. And the advantages of breastfeeding though real, are not critical. My two cents as an old Mom now.

Oh! Mah! Gawd! It's Rebecca in all her Royal Pinkness. The stepkids did GREAT!
Rebecca is gorgeous! And she looks like a crown princess -- not your run-of-the-mill princess -- in that pink and golden baby throne.
You must be so obsessed with her.
And congrats on your weight. I think you did GREAT!

147 still. Paula I need to emulate you and get busy with this ten pounds. I need to track. I need to do a lot of things.
Liz, sounds like you had a red dog indeed there. I am sure there are plenty of blues and greens for you to help. Glad Justice is doing well.
Ann, good for you for blowing off the taxes for the time being. I am still wrestling with my mother's taxes and other stuff but the end is in sight. So glad you found some cute colorful stuff. Peachy colors are my favorites. Hope the PT continues to help.
Diane O, glad you found a good house sit arrangement. Karma indeed comes around if invited. Did anyone watch that tv show "My Name is Earl"? A hillbilly version of Karma that was hilarious.
Shel I can't believe you have any feet left after doing that whole 13 mile hike. Good on you. Hoping we can meet up in Arcata today after we deal with the plumber and such here.
BB love all the pink and the little pink person. No baby could be more loved than yours and Dave's grand kids. Lucky little ones.
Well Dave you get done what you get done. Hoping you don't overdo it and get some rest. You too Paula. Hope that sore neck heals up. Cool dress! Hey they are still publishing 17? I remember that from 50 years ago.
Not much in store here except preparing for house sitter and trip and hopefully meeting up with Shel. More later on that. Its probably going to rain so today should be a shop day for them. Diane S

The closet guy came yesterday and took measurements. Yay! Hopefully I can get something in soon. I have a load of things to take to the charity shop today. It feels so good to purge.
This morning I did my 8-miler, which in light of Shel's outstanding 40,000 steps seems piddly! But we did it in under 2 hours, so that's not too shabby.
Hope everyone has a super day!
