Love Todays theme.

Yesterday was good on intake front. Bought yogurt but have not had any for a few days. Did not get near enough done on the house . But that is ok. I will get done when ever. Not enough sleep last night. Got a nap yesterday and that messed things up. And no noise machine. Got up at 1:30 but had been trying to go back to sleep for over an hour. Finally just got up. Now if I can get through the day without a nap I will be back on schedule. I normally get 7-8 hours. Bought lottery tickets so I am open for laws of attraction. I do not play very often. It is fun for me to imagine winning but it is hard to imagine without buying a ticket. FaceTimed the baby last night. She listened to my voice. She is growing so fast. She is doing stuff early. I thought I felt a tooth trying to bulge the other day. Way early for that. I don't remember my own growing so fast and barely remember any milestones because I was working all the time. DS#1 got a bunch of baby chickens. Looks like I might get back into the egg business.

more later. David

Dave, I loved that Facebook post! That baby! You can see the wheels turning and feel the emotion and the determination. It was also a whole lot of fun listening to the baby whisperer. Thx so much for posting it.

Here is another tree picture just for you :)

Babies and chickens and the first day of spring ... what a good, good day! :)

I hope you win the lottery, David. :)

Me too. Winning 400 million would be a lot of work to spend it all. But I would give it a try.

140.4. Getting close to the 130's again! Yay! Calories yesterday were 1,152 and the day before were 816. Overall making pretty good choices. Trying to have an extra serving of fruit as a snack instead of something else (like girl scout cookies or nuts). Activity has been pretty good too. I picked up sticks for 45 minutes on Saturday, took and hour walk on Sunday (up some hills) and did my 30 minute lunch walk at work yesterday. Don't think I will get in any today.

I read yesterday's post but was just too exhausted to reply. I only had 2 hours of sleep on Sunday night, had to work the whole day and had somehow managed to pull something in my neck that caused shooting pains down my upper back and scapula when I turned my head just so. DS#2 gave be a little massage last night that helped some. Pain has lessened considerably today. Went to bed around 9 last night and stayed in bed until 7:30 this morning. I was able to sleep for most of that time!

DS#1 was able to get in to see his psychiatrist yesterday and was started on Abilify - an antipsychotic. Hope it works for him.

Shel, the pictures are stunning. What a wonderful trip. Good for the girl for wanting to do so much physical activity. I don't think I could get my kids to do it!

I like the idea of intentions. I have a friend that does the Lifeline technique and is all about setting intentions!

I did a little on-line shopping for athleisure wear at Fabletics. They had a big clearance sale going on. They often include free subscriptions to magazines as part of their promotions - probably to get you hooked into re-subscribing once the trial period ends. They choose the magazine. The first clue that maybe I was ordering outfits a little too young for me is when the free magazine they included in my order was "Seventeen". Lol. Maybe DS #2 will enjoy it! I did get a mini dress that I'm sure is way too young for me, but it was only $10 so if I don't like it or feel it is appropriate for me, I can give it away! Here is the mini dress I ordered https://www.fabletics.com/product?id=4485640

Oh, Paula! That dress! And that's the difference between your age and my age. To wear that creation I'd have to have a complete foundation garment underneath the dress itself -- with a helluva lot more than a bra "shelf." Not to mention the invisible arm and leg foundation garments from ankles to armpits. LOL!

I'm so glad DS#1 got to see his psychiatrist and get a prescription. I so, so, so hope it helps him. xoxo to you all.

Weight: 166.4!

I bit the bullet and weighed on Sunday at 1 week postpartum and was down to 170.8. I had gotten up to about 193-194 so that was almost 23lbs. down in just a week! Furthermore, before I started losing weight last year, I got up to a high of 167. Now I'm already below that. (To be fair, that high was right after New Year's...165 was probably closer to my fat normal of last year) I'm sure these last 10ish are going to be HARD but it feels good to know I'm not climbing such a huge mountain.

Things are going pretty well with Nugget except for the feeding. Met with a lactation consultant yesterday who essentially told me I'd never be able to exclusively breastfeed. That was hard. I'm missing the mark big time. So remember how I have implants because I had a very flat chest? (Sorry, but I've already overshared on here, might as well finish the story). Even though plenty of women can nurse with small chest size, sometimes some flat women don't have the equipment and that's me. I'm trying to accept that. Lots and lots of babies are formula fed for various reasons and turn out GREAT. And as noble as the whole "breast is best" movement is, I'm seeing the dark side of it now in feeling ashamed and bad about something I can't control. Thank God it doesn't sound like I'll need to nurse to lose the weight.

But if something had to go wrong, I'm glad it was that. My baby is perfection. My pregnancy and labor and delivery was perfection. Not everyone can say that. I'm trying not to sulk.

I can't remember if I posted coming home pictures? I still can't figure out how to upload photos on here unless I copy from facebook. So here is the nursery that the stepkids surprised us with. I was really touched by this! And here she is in her carseat. We love pink, can you tell?

Oh my gosh, what a beautiful nursery! And look at that glam car seat - I have never seen anything like it before! Becca is adorable! I don't think she has a chance to be a tomboy with all the girly girl stuff surrounding her!
