Good morning! I had a great visit with the plastic surgeon. It takes a very kind doctor to make you feel comfortable standing buck naked in front of a full length mirror while he hikes your fat and skin around to show you what he'd do. I really like him!
I got a surgery day of May 10 for the first round of a body lift, some lipo, fat transfer to my rear, and a modified thigh lift (incisions half way down my thighs). Afterwards my friend who went with me and I went to downtown Santa Monica to walk around and have dinner to let some traffic clear. Somewhere along the way, I picked up another nail in my tire, but we made it home on the run flat. So that'll be another $400 this morning when I wake up enough to get it fixed. I will never get run flats again. Give me a cheap, patchable tire!
May 10th I hope gives me enough time to sort my thyroid issues if I have them, so that's good! And I can go to my aunt's 80th birthday celebration.
Liz, I hope you have a fun birthday dinner! It sounds delish, especially the coconut pie...
Ann, I have those same thoughts when I say I'm busy. It doesn't compare to working at all and I'm grateful every day. But having things to keep one's mind and body occupied is a good thing!
Shel, I'm vicariously excited for your trip!
Diane, I hope your heart issues get straightened out with minimal discomfort and risk. And corned beef sounds good... maybe I need to get some of that.
Happy anniversary, Paula!! Will you have one of those cheddar bay biscuits? I love those things...
Alright. Must go face my tire woes.
Greetings Ides of Marchers
Seems like we should all go marching somewhere. 146.5 today. No doubt picked up a pound from three tiny cookies and a narrow slice of veggie pizza at the meeting/party last night. These meetings wear me out as everyone talks over each other and no one listens. A herd of artists so I guess its expected. Just try talking about software connectivity issues to this bunch!
Paula, congrats on your wedding anniversary. Celebrate well and eat a biscuit for all of us. DH brought home some of that cheddar biscuit mix once and wanted me to make them. I refused. It got tossed. He is now down 25 pounds on Atkins and our house is down about 1000 pounds of junk.
Cecily, you must indeed have a good surgeon. Wishing you the best possible results. Grrr on the flat tire.
Ann busy is not necessarily a four letter word. Its good to have lots of fun and/or peaceful stuff to do.
Speaking of busy, BB we are thinking of you. Here's hoping Becca is a good sleeper so you can too. How is the rocker working? Which leads me to Dave and those adorable little girls. Hugs all around.
Devon so glad Keira does not have cancer and the surgery is a cure. I am grateful to have a healthy fur family.
Well reality is setting in for our trip a week from today. While I got an outfit for the wedding I realize I have nothing for the other 5 days. The Humboldt County slob look is probably not suitable.
Well off to the studio and such. Dogs want a walk but there will be rain today. Diane S
I'm looking forward to Humboldt casual. Sounds like my kind of place. I'm only bringing Athleisure wear.
