Greetings Tuesday Tenacious Ones
145.5 today. Down a pound. Fish and grilled peppers last night. Various odds and ends today. Dogs in for shots, need a trip to the bank, gotta pick up studio payroll, maybe banking for gallery, pharmacy pick up, take some stuff to the accountant, bla bla bla. At least yesterday I bought something to wear to nephews wedding. A fancy silk top and some nice slacks. No dresses for me due to clod hopper shoes.
Liz, the poetry art thing sounds like fun. What a fun place you live in.
Cecily glad you are sleeping. Its a good thing as Martha says. More snow Diane O!! You have my sympathy.
The rain is back here but at least its not cold enough to turn into snow. But its enough hat the dogs won't get a walk and therefore will release all their energy in the living room!
Lets all take a moment to be grateful for the arrival of Nugget. Except we have to start calling her Rebecca. A joyous time as a new beloved person arrives on our planet.
Well Shel, I sent you the link on the road slide in the redwood park. Gonna have to do thinks differently. This is the road to Fern Canyon. Good thing you have the Garmin watch.
Not much other news here. DH continues on his clean out mission. I think we have some furniture around here but it is all covered with cardboard boxes and such. Oh well. Cheers all. Diane S
I'm still hoping that they will clear it out before we leave CA (we could catch it on the way back North) If not, then it is a reason to come back :)

Yeah, yeah, yeah - veggies and fruits, yadda yadda. The big news today is Nugget is finally out on her own. Or she will be 21 years from now. Huge congratulations to BB, her hubby, and the whole family. And even bigger congrats to Rebecca Rose. Welcome to the world!
And now back to V/Fs. Yesterday's 8 servings were black beans, cherry tomatoes, spring lettuces, raw carrots, sweet potatoes, chard, kale, spinach, blueberries and strawberries. I sure do love my V/Fs.
Aquarobics class was good yesterday - our teacher worked us hard, which I've been missing for a while in that class. I hope she's got her spring mojo back.
It's cool here, but definitely spring-like, with clear blue skies, birds galore, and That Feeling That Things Are About to Be Born and Grow! Just like Rebecca Rose. ?
And now a small medical story that might prove useful to someone some day: I went to see my primary care physician today to complain about the middle finger on my right hand, which has grown rather numb in the last two weeks. His diagnosis? My finger is going numb because my beautiful, form-perfect shoulder stands in yoga have pinched my spinal nerve near my C8 vertebra, the nerves from which run down to the three outer fingers. His recommended treatment? I shouldn't do any more shoulder stands, and I now get to have some Medicare-funded massage and PT treatments to make sure everything's back in the right place and stays there. Whew! And I was worried I might have leprosy of the middle finger! So be careful out there, yoga people. Apparently, the orthopedist I saw 35 years ago was right: Don't exercise - you'll hurt yourself! ;)
Today's aspirational theme: If it hurts, see a doctor.

Yay we are home and I can post from my computer.
I'll try to spare you the nitty gritty details, but I feel like I had the best delivery. I needed no interventions other than epidural which I highly recommend! We went in Saturday night about 6pm and she came noon Sunday. My doctor had been on call but gotten off at 7am, but so grateful she came back to delivery Becca!! And as much as I roll my eyes when parents say this stuff, I now understand--my baby smells so perfect, her skin is so soft, her sounds so cute, yada yada yada.
Gosh, you're both gorgeous! Thank you for this picture. I'm so happy for you all!
