Paula, you are doing great ! I'm sitting between 138 & 139...twins again soon ! Shel, I am so excited about your impending adventure ! Your DD will remember this forever and it's such a great celebration of your new and improved life ! Justice is almost over the hump, right ? Is Kiera continuing to recover well too ? Diane, thanks for your sage advice and circumvention tips ! I used to frame students' perceived conflicts with "big deal...little deal" ? I need to do that for myself.
You're probably as tired of hearing it as I am of saying it...another nor'easter tonight...in the teens today. Socal is looking so good. I'm trying to finalize dog care....so tough when they are four and four months and viewed as family members.

In theory the worst time for Justice would have been around Friday of last week, but he still has another 20 days of quiet time. He has been doing fine so far, with no coughing or other signs of distress. We are keeping him on a lead all the time and only short walks in the yard for bathroom time.

"Big deal ... little deal?" I love that heuristic tool. Going to remember and use that one.
Thanks!

Happy Nugge****ch!
I pick Thursday, 3/15.
I bought a Garmin watch. I was sort of boycotting Fitbit because its scale gave out before its time. Also, just tired of the whole tracking steps stuff. But, now I am going to the Redwoods and I MUST KNOW things!!!! The Garmin has some extra functionality for hiking.
Yesterday's hike was again to Poo Poo point because it is an ok length with some elevation PLUS it was sunny so the paragliders were out like bees to honey. They really do look a little like colorful bugs hiking thru the woods.
DianeS, I'm thinking about you many times per day! Devon, I'll be sending you some info in a msg of when we will be in your area.
Ann, I talked to a paraglider who I would guess is in her 60's. She said she started years ago and is entirely addicted to the rush. She also said it is very dangerous and probably stupid but she can't stop. Reward outweights risk.
Have a great day, maybe even a Nugget kind of day. (I'm willing to lose the pool if Nugget comes early.) Shel
Hike pics below.
What the heck have I captured in the picture below? MIL, is that you? Or, is it a vampire from Twilight? (Twilight was shot in the forests across the Sound.) I took the picture because having a sun break thru the trees is so rare.
The wind shifted before the glider below could take off, so he is hiking thru the woods to a different spot.
A series of 3 shots of with Mt Rainier in the background. I saw him take off and he was still looping around when I left 40 min later. I thought he was going to die but I guess they can stay up in the air for 2 hours easily on a day like yesterday.

Shel! What in the world is in that first photograph?! I've never seen anything remotely like it.

I wanted to say a Sasquatch but seems a bit glittery and willowy for a Sasquatch. I'm voting for my MIL. And how about the heart thing above. I took think I took 3 pics. One was normal, one had a partial heart but no figure. And then there was this one.

No, I was looking into the sun and it was hard to see much of anything. I just pointed the camera and clicked.
The light there felt sparkly which is what got my attention and made me think it might be an interesting picture....I was carrying a new camera so wanted to try something new.
Can't wait to hear your story!

It's definitely an experience I will never forget. Upon hearing the story one might think I had been under the influence of an illicit substance, but damn, stone cold clean and sober. It's the tight blue white dot in the center of the shape....that's the power and the essence. It's looking for someone to help it. Hopefully, it will. It can't go without the help.
Shel..perhaps that first picture is your spirit guide ?! Lots of aura going on ! Great shot !
