Another night of sleeping 8 hours. The real trick seems to be not getting up, turning over, and going back to sleep. I think sleep is one of those chicken-egg situations -- both an independent variable and a dependent variable in the life-long experiment of stress management. The more sleep I get, the less stressed I am; the less stressed I am, the more I am able to sleep.
Yesterday's 8 V/Fs were black beans, cherry tomatoes, spring lettuces, raw carrots, plantains, red/yellow peppers, more black beans, kale/spinach, blueberries and strawberries. Sounds great, and it was!
My morning walk yesterday was lovely. 'Tis the season when I can start to enjoy more long walks like that.
But the big question is: Is this the week Nugget is born? Should we have an office pool about the day she'll appear? If so, I choose Friday, March 16.
Today's aspirational theme (repeat after me): To-do lists can be sexy!

Thank you, Paula. It feels so good when I feel myself heating up with that joy whenever it happens. Life is fleeting and precious, so we should not ignore it or waste it. I constantly imagine my husband grinning at me and hugging me. And I keep saying to myself, "Be here now!" Because that's where I am. Here. Now.

Weight 117, calories 734. It is 72 now and humid but that is the high for today. Cooler less humid air comes in again later today for the week (70 daytime, mid-40's at night). We had a couple of weeks in the 80's here, but now that we are getting well into March and expect it to be hot, the temperature has dropped. BUT I'm not complaining as they are getting a foot of snow or more at home tomorrow.
I just registered for a workshop at the end of April run by Teena Snow, who is one of the leaders in Alzheimer's caregiving. It is being run by the Cape Code Alzheimer's Support organization we are involved with. I've watched some of her videos and find them very enlightening.
SIL and I went to an outlet mall in Estero yesterday and spent a couple of hours and some $. It was huge and we only went to part of it. One could do some serious damage there!
I think maybe we will look for a nature type walk for later today or tomorrow.
Have a mainstay Monday!

Oh, Liz! I hear you on the damage one could do at outlet malls!
On the way back from the sisters reunion weekend before last I stopped at Tanger Outlets south of Memphis and bought some new yoga gear at the UnderArmour outlet in navy / sages / blues. It's all beautiful, hardy-wearing, comfortable stuff. And not black!
And then I stumbled across an 85% off sale at Talbots that offered excellent basics (sweaters, jeans, slacks) at freakishly reduced prices.
If I'd had more time, I'm afraid of how much damage I might have done at another 6-8 stores at that location. The good news is I don't regret a single purchase. :)

I spent my $ at Vera Bradley, Kate Spade, and Talbots!
