Weight 117, calories 910 (up .6). I thinks that confirms my suspicions about humidity. It went way up yesterday and my rings are tight.
Yesterday we finished our training at the animal shelter. DH and I fell in love with a chihuahua mix who came in as a stray and was very timid when we first took her out yesterday. We spent a lot of time walking with her and in the "playpen". By the time we put her back in her crate, she was strutting around and perking her ears and tail up even around the other dogs. She literally ran circles around us in the pen and when we sat came up in our laps to snuggle. DH says he wants a dog like her... Picture of the 2 of them below.
It is so exciting that Nugget is coming soon. Like Dave's granddaughters, the arrival of a new child warms everyone?s heart. Speaking of which Dave, I love that DD is taking steps to ensure that her child is taken care of and demonstrating her love for her daughter and you.
Someone on the main boards mentioned that the new Weigh****chers Freestyle Plan has free foods that are pretty comparable to what she eats (and what Deven outlined yesterday - also see below). I have always liked WW even though it didn't work in the long run for me. Speaking of which, DD is broaching a 35 BMI and is not feeling good about herself. However she doesn't want to think about WLS at this point even though she knows only positives from my experience. She was going to try Jenny Craig, but I suggested that WW might be more effective, less expensive and more satisfying from a food perspective.
Have a transformative Tuesday!

Good morning!
Liz, that is a cutie patootie in the pic. Nice pup, too :) Adoption-bait!
Devon, I think I forgot to congratulate you on Ace. Give him a belly rub for me. Good Boy! Also, FWIW, I never tire of hearing about anyone's eating patterns (current or aspirational)
DianeO, if that picture is your best representation of perhaps-too-thin, I don't see it. I also don't see frail or any other pejorative adjective. You simply look healthy. But, as always, if YOU think you want an extra few pounds for health/strength/energy, then that's ok too.
David, I'm so proud of your daughter for thinking of HER daughter as she includes you and DW in your granddaughter's care.
At DD's appt for her sore bac****pt quiet during the exchange of info and physical exam. Finally, I chimed in that a lot of DD's friend group have said they have stress back fractures. DD launched into a story about all of them. Silently, I tried to communicate that anxiety is at play here with googly eyes. The doctor googlied eye back at me and ordered an X-ray so she would could rule out stress fracture. I might have encouraged MD into radiating DD to treat anxiety.
We will get X-ray results today or maybe tomorrow.. While I don't think this all makes DD happy, there is certainly something about it that activates her. I want to hide under a rock til we know results
Hug your skinny!
Shel

145.6. Calories a little higher at 1389 with 176 C, 42 F and 107 P, got a walk in at lunch time at work
Liz, do you think you might adopt the Chihuahua? Paul looks smitten with her! Interesting about all of those foods being "free" foods on WW. They certainly could add up, especially when adding other non free foods to reach your points for the day. I think I would have had zero points for almost my first year post VSG!
Ice storm continues and all schools in the area are closed today with lots of businesses closed or running late too. Even Ben's University is closed this morning - has to be bad for the University to close! We are all hunkered down at home. Boys will spend most of the day in bed per usual when they don't have school!
Shel. I got a kick out of the google eyes between you and doc. Hopefully the x-rays will show no problems and DD's anxiety can be appeased.
BB, happy that your second shower was fun and included some of the finer things that you would have done if your were hosting! Nugget will be here so soon. We are all anxious for her arrival!
Dave, it is sweet that DD is including you in the care of grandbaby and realizes that she can't do it alone - important to recognize and accept the help which I know you and DW are more than willing to give!
Diane O - I agree with Shel, you look fine just as you are but would look just as fine with 5-10 more pounds on you. I also agree with Devon that a fuller face can make us, ummmmm "mature" women look a bit younger. Helps fill out the wrinkle folds some!
Devon - wishing you luck with the dietary changes you are wanting to make. I'm trying to be much more mindful myself these days!
xray negative for fracture or anything else. So, now she needs to practice self-care, more easily said than done.

Happy Tuesday All !
Thanks for all of your input. Don't know why I let it get to me...perhaps because Chuck asked if I was down below 130 again. Paula... sorry for your ice ! It may hit 70 here today. I'm about to hit the back yard to move around some rocks to thwart my little digger ! Yes, he is growing like a weed, and at times I have to do a double take to see if it is Sadie or Atlas, especially when he is stretched out his full length !
Have a great day !

Late to chime in, but I finally saw your picture and I don't see anything concerning there (plus your puppies are adorable)! Your opinion is the one that matters here as long as you're healthy and happy. I wonder sometimes if people get so used to the heavier versions of ourselves that sometimes they simply can't reconcile the differences in their own brains. Which is not your issue to solve. Plus people need to keep their opinions to themselves more often...
Greetings Tuesday Peeps
Yay, its old people's discount day at the health food store. No veggie is safe from me! (well ok, the potatoes are safe). 145. Must be the humidity. Actually it is very humid here most of the time so go figure.
Liz that pup is killer cute. How is Pebbles doing? Thanks for posting the free foods. And I love that it has lentils. But DH won't eat them on the Atkins plan.
Shel, love the doctor googlie eye story and that all the kids have a stress fracture. I think I have a stress fracture of the brain.
Hey Diane O, again, you look great as you are so enjoy it. And I love your hair do. The only bad thing about wls for me is the wrinkles on my face. I used to have chubby cheeks and no wrinkles but now I look like a wrinkle farm. Oh well, I would not trade the wrinkles in for the fat.
Dave I am glad to hear your daughter is motivated to make a better life for herself and baby and is planning ahead. They will both benefit. She has good role models.
BB, glad you had a good night out. Counting the days.......
Not much on today's agenda. Dejunk, take Tesla to get nails clipped since she is horrible about letting me do it, and studio missions.
Best to all.
Diane S
Pebbles was adopted! A lot of doggies went out over the long weekend and a lot came in. One of the other counties (Lee) was overloaded so their extra dogs came to Charlotte County.

Sweet looking puppy, Liz! I would think wanting to adopt every dog you meet would be a volunteering hazard.
I ended up bowing out of the hike yesterday as my foot was flaring when I walked Fergie before I was going to leave. Today it's fine. Bodies are weird things! Is a little consistency too much to ask?
The list of foods is interesting. My first thought was I could do a lot of damage with that list. But maybe I wouldn't want to? Fats and carbs are what call to me, not chicken and nonfat plain yogurt... Eggs, beans, corn, and peas though? Yummy. Then again it's time for lunch, so everything sounds good to me right now!
